My usual Krayt hunting ground is around the Sandcrawler.
Between the crawler and the mouth of the graveyard and another spot west of the crawler you can usually find them. Think of it as a triangle.
When Krayts had lairs they used to spawn alot in the graveyard but now it is mostly just outside of it. You will usually get them in pairs also unless it is an ancient. The Ancients are sometimes accompanied by a Canyon Krayt though.

I'm on Ahazi and yesterday I was taking a couple quick missions out near Mos Oasis. I was at a Dune Bantha lair when I get the message that I'm being stalked by a Canyon Krayt. Sure enough, about 60m behind me is the Krayt, just sitting there for the moment. Suddenly it goes for my friend and I see him go down, next thing I know it's after me and I'm finding out that you can't burst run away from them
I've played for awhile, but that was the first Krayt I'd ever seen. Now I'd like to see one of the big ones.

I bought about 50-70 tissues this week that were offered to my vendorand am worried about their value dropping as I've had no time to craft and sell them.

I like it.. tissues are much cheaper to buy so weapons made from the tissues are affordable.

Which will make regular weapons obsolete. which whether you want to admit it or not, is most weaponsmith's bread and butter.
Without a highend and lowend market, it leaves very little room for competition, making us more of a game feature rather than players.
I'm not going to be happy if every weapon I make and stock on my vendor will have to be hand made.
Some players have much better access to loot than others, forcing players into guilds or having alternate charachters isn't good.

As a weaponsmith for the masses I like having more krayt available for the city or guild hunt. I make inexpensive weapons. Most people can't afford krayt and I don't offer it. I don't think krayt should be causing guns to sell for millions. My slicer says my T21 should sell for 200-300k. That's nuts, and I sell sliced T21's up to 45k max. I didn't join to play monopoly. I had lots of fun giving weapons away at Xmas. Bring on the krayt and let's have fun. No I will not pay 1 million for your krayt. Somehow I feel somebody is being ripped off.

Here's a great thread about the potential impact increased spawn rates can have on the economy:
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=economy&message.id=1788
To be interesting, MMO's need something for players to work towards. A nice Krayt weapon is one of those things, whether you killed the krayt yourself, or worked your ass off to earn the credits to buy one. If krayt weapons become dime-a-dozen, then they won't be special anymore. As the guy in the thread above says, they'll simply become the minimum acceptable standard.
It's one thing to sell stanard production weapons, even ones with nice slices, for cheap prices. But you don't need a krayt weapon to play the game, and making them this common only makes them mundane. The krayt spawn rates need to be nerfed back, maybe not quite as rare as they used to be, but certainly not as common as they are now.
And for the record, I've madekrayt weapons for friends, but I've never sold one to the public. So I'm not a WS who has a lot of krayt weapons on my vendor that are in danger of losing their value.

Yesterday I made 2.5 million in sales. Over 2 million of that came from enhanced weapons. Sure its nice to stock a bunch of every weapons and rack in a fair amount of sales but selling a few aklay enhanced power hammers and you can roll in some big bank.
Sure there are more krayt tissue around but I havent seen a dramatic increase in anything.. all it means is that the few dozen or so people who have been hunting krayt for a living are now going to get tons of tissues.
In my opinion it will bring down the price of a weapon that is only 30 max damage higher and -.3 speed better.

I may very well eat my words down the road, but I see this as a good thing. I absolutely refuse to pay big money on a few components to make one or two weapons. That is just insane. Loot in this game is insane. And IMHO the weaponsmiths of the past, with the really big wallets, are a part of the reasonhigh-endweapons cost millions. (my apoligies if I offend anyone, it is not my intention) Certain people just have really big bank accounts, and spending a few million credits on a handful of tissue, is like most spending a few hundred credits. They can afford to pay it, and seeing there are those crafters out there, willing and able to pay it, why wouldn't the hunter hold out for the big payout. And that is were the cycle begins.
Or maybe its with:
150 cpu for avian/herbivore meat -inflating buffs to be 15k for a set
60 cpu for carnivore meat - inflating brandy to 250k a crate
1.5 million for an AV21 engine - a nice ride for 3 million
4 million for a krayt pearl - Every Jedi must have stockpile
1.2 million for blue rug adhesive - who doesn't want a nice rug?
100 cpu for 1000 CD copper - what crafter wouldnt like a stack of this?
just to name a few off hand that annoy me when I see em.

Well seeing as to how I am a WS, and I use only the loot that I find/friends give me, I really enjoy the change, yet somehow I know it isnt good. I spent a MONTH of almost nonstop daily fighting in the geo caves before I found my set of yellow cubes... 4 of them. Last night, I spent 1.5 hours in there and walked off with almost 20. This makes things extremely easy for me to make what I need to, but at the same time, it means that joe blow can walk up to me with the loot and ask for the weapon... essentially, I dont get my finder's fee. Enhanced weapons dont decay as quick as they are entering the market. If anything, 70% of the weapons will be krayt enhanced... other other 30% wont be enhanced because the @#$(%*@#% gorax is bugged (hey... why not use spider fangs?.... CURSE YOU SPIDER!) Anyways... enough ranting, it is nice for up and comming weaponsmiths, but I can see why some older WS's are getting aggrivated over it. Hopefully I'll be one of those old established crafters sitting on his flash speeder beating people over the head with metal poles.

Whats wrong with having weapons only a few can pay for? A select few that have earned the money, sweat the hours hunting,
paid 15 bucks a month for two years (ok its only been a year and some months), gauking through the vendor glass, drooling over
that enhanced T-21. "Gosh wouldnt that be nice Bob?',' Word. One problem though.','whats that?', It's gonna take you 4 months to grind rifleman becuase you only play two hours a night after work man.','Dude. So worth the wait.'" When did the world cater to the impaitent young soul that wanted his Red Rider BB gun for his birthday and not Christmas? When did the world say its ok, lets make it eaiser for Coyote to catch the RoadRunner?
Sure its a game, we know this, that supposed to mean its easy? Nay I SAY!! (cough cough..sorry, NyQuil.)
In many ways this game is perfect in so many ways. It caters to the twitch, the 'I only got an hour to play on any given night
crowd', the Riven people, the D and D people, the people that want THEIR life in star wars to come true.
It sounds more and more like catering to the impatience of the new instead of the people
who gave it a chance in the beggining. (30 years old and I still cant spell that word on the first try).
If this is something that is both hated and loved, then I say make it a 'Migration' period.
You know like not having any good Link Steel since frigin launch. And they wonder why I went Bounty Hunter.
Point is you spoil folks for too long they get use to it and it ruins what it was.
Dont ruin what it was. It was something special. Something that had to be organized in advanced without much
chance of Success. DO we hunt the Kryats becuase they make us a crap load of money?!?! Well, ok maybe a little.
Personaly, I had my Guild Leader say he felt like quiting for awhile, but then we did a small Guild hunt
on a Kryat. Becuase of the money? No. Because our weaponsmith could benefit from it? No. We did it becuase it was
FUN. As a result, our Guild Leader was REJUIVINATED!!! (BG)
Dont kill the fun man.

What are you folks thinking. You increased the spawn rate on Krayt Dragons 1 time already and are doing it again. Im a MWS on Kauri and you have efectively made my Krayt enhanced weapons worthless compared to before. A set of Krayt tissues was once rare now they are a dime a dozen. Had 1 guy come to me that had been farming Krayts and offered me 24 sets of tissues colected over a period of a week. Now thats just plain ridiculous. You folks keep monkeying around and WS is going to become a worthless profession. Please cease and desist you are destroying my beloved profession.
