Thanks pragmateus..

Your macros really helped me to gain ws xps in shortest time.

I used three crafting devices and three macros. Each macro was corresponding with exactly on crafting device. Every macro is in a loop. So I start the first macro, wait 4 seconds, start the second macro, wait 4 seconds again and then start the last macro.

This way I can gain xps in a row like nothing. But it is very resource consuming.

***Tip #2***

If you DO get into a continuous macro loop, simply type "/dump" (without the quotes) and you'll kill the macro. Had this happen to me once, and remembered that you can kill the macro with this phrase. Saved me having to log off and back in.

lol make the /dump command a macro and place the icon on the toolbar. Like i showed you. Then you can click the button and it will end the loop. I found typing in /dump rather difficulty and frustrating. Making it a button is better.

Yeah, okay I understand all of the "grinding" to get the xp and how some people manage to get millions of xp in a mere few seconds (maybe Iexaggerate a little). BUT, there's one thing ya'll haven't addressed. In order to get from the "Starting Professions" to the "Elite Professions" you need 620 xp of apprenticeship points. This is my current hold up to joining you Masters. So, my question is:

How does one get the apprenticeship xp needed to attain the Master level?

I've tried offering to pay people to train them, but over the past two months I've only achieved 90 points of apprenticeship xp. I don't want to waste time sitting around waiting for someone to want training so I'm getting a well rounded education by getting other skills (like those that keep you from getting killed so easily). Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Find a friend and have them sample resources till survey one, train them, then they need to drop the skill, have the sample again till survey 1 and then train them again.rinse and repeat. Offer this to a noob in exchange for one of your best weapons. soon you will be maxed out in apprantice points.

Actually, that's not technically true. To get to Weaponsmith, all you need is Engineering IV and enough crafting XP to get novice WS. No master status required. To get master weaponsmith, though, you DO need apprentice XP.

For the record: you can only store 1240 apprenticeship XP. I'm currently at that point, and I trained someone last night and got NO XP for it. Be wary. The way I did it was by training people whenever they asked and I happened to have the skills they needed. Just hang around folks long enough and they'll need training sooner or later. No way to really grind that. Just plan ahead when you start playing and train people wherever you can.

i don't see how you guys are having problems with apprentice xp ... just socialize and make friends. ap xp just comes in naturally. It's very easy to get ap xp - don't be surprised if they raised the ap cost for master status.

New problem. After the big monthly patch, it appears that they've either hidden or removed the schematic number for PRBs. I sure as hell hope this wasn't deliberate. It's already enough of a **edit** pain in the ass to play this profession and try to make master, only because you can't survive economically at lower levels. To force us to have to do this all manually just rewards those who ground to start even further, and causes more of a gap.

For the record, my WUKs were around 92 in the item list. Other weapon components are in the 90s as well, but when I hit 100, I suddenly have spices instead. Is there an upper limit to the number of schematics you can have? And is there any way to get rid of schematics?

False alarm. Looks like they just really jumbled things up. I found what I was looking for. Move along. Move along.
