Thread: If CU stays as it is, will you STAY or LEAVE?

I'm seriously considering quitting if the system goes live even remotely close to the way it is.
besides the issues with weaponsmith, there are a number of things that are leading me out the door.
Weapon Certs I wont be able to equip my favorite weapon a Laser carbine unless I drop Nov Medic and some merchant.
With these template changes i'm still unable to wear armor that doesn't look stupid (composite is the only one i like) Unless I pick up Nov BH. (BTW the composite on TC-EP3didn't allow the user to change the color).
Since I have crappy armor (if any) and a virtually useless weapon. I wont be able to survey or maintain harvs without getting incapped every 3 seconds.
I'm going to give the CU about 2 weeks to decide if i'm going to stay. However, I don't have much hope for the devs tomake it worth staying.Once it goes live i'll change my billing cycle from every 3 months, to month-to-month in protest.
There are a lot of Real Life things that i haven't been getting to do (like work on restoring my 68 Barracuda Notchback) so the CU is a good excuse to quit this addiction.
That was supposed to be a temporary fix (allowing the colors to be changed) because ther was some kind of bug during the crafting process that prevented AS from coloring them. They just never took it out. That was many, many moons ago.
Shug, if ya quit I only need 8 more points to be a 12 point smith, gimmie a shout and we might be able to work somehting out ![]()
Like most of you, never in it for the money. It was a fascinating challenge.
I had looked forward so much to the CU, stupidly believing that we would get MORE challenged, creating weapons that needed Ham reductions, specialized stats, all the things negated by the buff system would become important again. I happily spent two months tweaking and making experimental carbs and taking my Master Carbineer out Unbuffed to test the combos.. lots of fun, learned a lot..and in the end didn't mean anything with the sorry system they scabbed onto this game.
I never dreamed that they would do what they did. Dumb the entire profession down to mass producers of boring, identical consumer crap. We even lost the limited appearance customizations.
We lost our history too. One of my silly fixations was making good "bad" weapons. They went on the wall in my home or shop, sometimes my Combat char played around with them. Well, I took screenies of all of them, cause they will all be transformed into the same bland pap. LOL I spend millions making VERY nice Tangles, Power 5s, Strikers, Tusken Rifles, E-11 Rifles etc.. always pushing them up higher. Stupid me.. all gone.
Well anyway. Welcome to Wal Mart Sporting Goods Department. Stocked vendors and price wars instead of finely crafted Custom Arms.
Really Sad.

Maybe you just have problems to accept a new system? How long did you really test it?I am not quiting due to the CU actually. The reason I quit is because I think that SOE is giving the players a slap in the face. When 81% say that they are unhappy with the changes why go against popular opinion? It is thePLAYERS that make this game. To completely IGNORE us and lie is awful.
THAT is why I quit.
Maybe 81% of some hundred players on the forums which are all actually whining on the CU. The votes on JtL weren't that good too on the forums...

And hardly anyone played JTL past the first 3 weeks or so. Your point, caller?
