Area Of Effect -- Commando weapons are AOE, which means it hits what you shoot at and anything near it.

Had two deathhammer pistols crafted using themepark blaster pistol barrels. They also turned to blast damage.

Has anyone tested the difference between the newly dropping BH loot scopes from this last publish and the other looted scopes? I personally made a rifle with the regular looted scopes (accuracy +25) and it did in fact change the damage type from energy to blast. However, the looted scopes from BH missions have an accuracy bonus upwards in the +60 range and I've seen several weapons made with these without a change in damage type. I just acquired some of these yesterday but have not tested them yet. I suppose time will tell but there may be a reason to differentiate the BH scopes and the "other" looted scopes.

I made a tusken rifle with a looted scope to see what happened and it turned into energy damage.

I have made quite a few Scatters and Featherweights with the new BH scopes - all turned to Energy Damage.

Tusken rifle (kin) would in theory go to blast? or energy...

Energy => ? when 2 changing factors are used?

It appears to be 2 different weapons. The one from the test is labeled as U&W Heavy Lightning Rifle with a -32 Accuracy (Not a Looted Scope). The example weapon you showed is labeled as Dominator Heavy Lightning Rifle by Dragon with a 62 Accuracy Bonus (with Looted Scope).


For validity, you should use the same weapon for example and test.

I ran a few tests with scopes. Result - Advanced laser rifle with Blast damage - new looted scopes, works fine , no 1 damage bug here...

It was possible to loot scopes before this last publish (publish 21). however, they were much more rare, but it was possible that they would would drop.

My Experience with the Scopes dropped pre21 would indeed bork the weapon well. Blast damage and 1+Elemental done to the target upon hit. Tried this in an HLR and an ALR, same effect to each. In the case of kinetic weaponry, as you all could guess, energy damage, but everything was fine.

These weapons all spoken of here, maybe all these examples were crafted pre21? Or is anyone able to confirm that the scopes dropped from the boss marks have not only caused the energy->blast/kinetic->energy bug, but as well do only 1+Elemental damage upon hit?
