Thread: Publish 24 Resource Bug **The Devs are working on a fix**
There is a current spawn of Colat Iron on Flurry, CD of 754. If my information is correct, the Colat Iron "cap" was at 332 (other irons could cap as high as CD 500).
I crafted a Renegade Pistol last night, and the results were terrible, probably due to the increased cap on the CD of Iron. I can't remember what Iron I used, but I'm sure it was (pre-pub 24) very high quality iron. Now it is mid-level at best. Wasted some nice 167 dmg krayt, too.
If this is not a bug, it looks like a fair amount of our resources will need to be thrown out and new resources obtained. Not that whining will get me anywhere, but after spending 18 months getting excellent resources, I really don't want to spend another 6 months hunting for resources again.

Take a look at all the Commando Weapons and say they are not affected.

Luckily I have managed to stay alive without selling commando weapons.. very well alive as a matter of fact.. were they ever wonderful to use to begin with??? Nothing in comparison to other weapons or thats the way I recall from when I first attempted them when CU launched...If ur not selling rifles, carbines, certain pistols and some exceptions.. ur not selling anything on our server....so in our area, until they fix it.. not really a huge issue I would think...Ess'ence

Well personally I am not of the opinion.. "Well I dont sell many commando weapons so it doesnt matter if they get nerfed"
I want all my weapons to be highest quality, and don't think its acceptable for certain weapons or professions to be hit like this, expecially without any comment from the Devs after 2 days now.
And its a lot more than Commando Weapons - there are weapons from every class that are affected.

Oh, this is just wrong. Colat does indeed have a cap of 332, that iron should not exist.
This is horrible. All that work and credits to get great resources

It seems that publish 24 changed the way Resources are weighed. This means that the resource weighting is back to what it was before the CU (meaning every resource is calculated against a 1000 bar instead of against the cap for the resource in question)It does seem however that not all reasources are effected by this change as Copper still cappes out around 800.I would like you guys and girls to list the resources you find affected by the change and also please write down what this means in terms of stats pre and post pub 24The more info I can give the Devs the more likely we are to get a fast solution
Wasn't this reported on TC? How come a bug like this made it live?I'm not surprised, I gave up playing on TC a long time ago when it became blatantly obvious that they didn't take any notice of bugs that were reported and pushed them live anyway.
And if it's not a bug and is 'working as intended' then why was it sneaked in.
What a joke. Shambles. Farce. Take your pick.

unfortunately there are not many WS on TC. I can name 2 off the top off my head and thats it.
Definitely appears to be a stealth change. Tempest hasn't been hit too bad on the steel since we have Esak, a 998Cd, 808OQ Crystallized Bicorbantium Steel to work with but DL44-XT's still got a little nerfed. The iron has definitely been whacked (flamethrower anyone?) Looking through the Mustafarian resources on a 30k resource deed, Tempest now has an iron with 631CD and 976OQ, which should be a step up from anything available now.The Mustafarian Steel on Tempest is nothing special... yet.
It used to be that when Steel was required, Eihen Duralloy Steel (642CD, 839OQ) was marginally better than Esak, but marginally worse if just Ferrous Metal was called for. Now Eihen is far worse than Esak for either category.
The strange thing is that copper is not affected, in stats like SR. For a PH, my best 800SR Polysteel Copper is just as good (maxed) as my 880SR Conductive Borcarbitic copper, and I can't imagine the 954SR Mustafarian copper can be any better. There's also a Mustafarian Aluminum with 960CD, 988OQ, and 876SR, butthe aluminum in Scout blasters does not seem to be affected either, my current Aluminums are getting pretty close to the cap.
Oh, very sorry about that info on Colat Iron....should have verified it myself, but when the iron was crap for crafting, and I saw the SWG craft stats, it all seemed to make sense (in a bad way). Again, sorry for the confusion....
