i think theres a soft cap, so youl notice huge changes in speed then all of a sudden the difference will slow down. also +25 (saber type of your choice speed) and +25 general melee acc in tapes is still caped for attatchments

yup there is no cap but the higher you go you will get diminishing returns.

That said, there is a diminishing returns system. I am not mls but my modified speed was 1.4. I took a +1 double bladed ls speed tape and popped it in my clothes to see what kind of mod it would give....i got +.01 speed lol. Every bit does help though.

1.73 is the cap on crafted weapon speed, slicing for speed seems to gounder this and I'm not sure it should, which may be a bug.

Your modified speed can do down to 1, which is effectively the speedcap. But the speed formula seems to break down after a certain point and some players can get their modified speed under 1 which looks to be a bug. Then you can throw in combat speed buffs and the whole thing falls over.

So, bugs aside, the base speedcap on a pistol should be 1.73 and the speedcap on your modified speed should be 1.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking, but here are a couple answers....

1) All weapons now have a "cap" for speed. For example, pistols can, at best, be crafted with a speed of 1.73. Slicing can bring the speed slightly below the speed caps.

2) The "modified" speed displayed takes into account the speed of the player. Therefore, a pistol with a speed of 1.73 could have a "modified" speed consirably lower. It is possible that this modified speed is below 1.0.

3) When you fire your weapon, there is a delay based on the delay of the special and your modfied weapon speed. As far as I know, the quickest any weapon can fire is once per second. If this is your question, then, yes, speed is capped at 1.0 second. I do not know the formula for figuring out what "modified speed" would allow a player to spam specials once per second. It is likely that action would run out very fast at that rate of fire.

All my toons must be bugged then.

MLS Jedi With 1H
mod speed 1.4
Combat log - hits every 2 seconds except for power attack which 3.

Master Carbs/CM/Doc Dabbler
Mod Carb speed 1.6
Combat log - hits every 2 seconds

I defy anyone to post a shot of a combat log that shows them hitting more than once per 2 seconds.

forget weapon speed, don't pay too much attention to modded speed either, your so limited by the cooldown timers that so long as your modded speed is reasonable you'll be firing as fast as you can. What will make a big difference and speed you up considerably is either a doctors adrenal boost, lullris mushroom pie or force speed as these directly affect the cooldown timers.

speed is broken, seems when the cooldown is counted, not ur modified speed is used but the base. it is true for sure for the saber and as far as i know for every melee weps but not sure if its true for the guns also
