Thread: Krayt Tissue hindering weapons? 12pt test shows results. DEV please comment.

when inserting a ABPH with krayt in it the original dmg on the handle itself is being ignored. Only the tissue is being added. Im still doing some test with this. And checking the way other loot it working. But so far. seem 30dmg tissue is gonne be deleted. And 50dmg tissue wont do much good unless used on a non advanced handle.
Well that would explain a couple of things:
1) Why, when using low damage tissues to enhance APBHs, the resultant weapon is worse than using just a plain APBH. I've had some inconsistent results with this, and haven't played with it much.
2) Why the devs have bumped up the damage on looted tissues: They are compensating for the effect you describe.
Glad I found this thread..I was getting a complex w/ ehanced weapons.
I have questions though that are not clearly defined here -
1) Are you comparing with converted handlers which got a good boost or newly crafted handlers (that are stock) to the ones you have crafted w/ the Krayt Tissues?
2) Although I haven't done enough tests to prove this, but I seem to be getting less "movement" int stats per experiment point when experimenting on enhanced product than I do with non enhanced (and thus the reason I came looking on the forum to see if anyone else had suspected this). Does anyone else suspect this or have tests on this?

not sure if this has been brought up. but i did some small runs using same tissue dmg wise. and got same thing your getting. but what i noticed. you can use the krayt tissue now without even making it into a power handler. for example its like acklay bones now. This is with the new stacked tissue not checked if old tissue is same or not. but you can load the tissue into the power handler slot on the crafting grid no power handler needed.Now. notice you lost 19pts dmg using a 30dmg tissue. well do the math and subtract the dmg the power handler comes out to withotu krayt.tissue..
Example.!
say ya got a 49dmg power handler.
with tissue of 30dmg it would rougly be 79dmg.
take the 79dmg power handler and subtract the original 49dmg and ya get?. 30dmg
so instead of you enhancing the weapon by 30dmg per tissue you actually losing 49dmg. and only using a 30dmg power handler. "I HOPE THIS MAKES AS MUCH SENSE TO YOU AS IT DOES ME"
Well, I wish I had gotten to do some of my testing last night, but as of today this appears to be fixed. Also, you can no longer use Krayt tissue as a direct replacement for a power handler. The box will light up, but if you try, you'll get an invalid component error.
Here's the main test I did today: I made 4 DL44 XT Pistols from 4 different ABPHs.
#1: min=14, max=40, speed=-0.33s (no experimentation)
#2: min=14, max=70, speed=-0.63s (Krayt, but no experimentation)
#3: min=17, max=43, speed=-1.24s (8pts speed then 4pts damage)
#4: min=17, max=73, speed=-1.49s (Krayt, 8pts speed, then 4 pts damage)
The following stats are for the assembled pistols without experimentation:
#1: 208.55dps, 2.21s, 259-662
#2: 218.32dps, 2.18s, 259-692
#3: 219.39dps, 2.11s, 262-666
#4: 229.23dps, 2.09s, 262-696
From the numbers, you can see the 30 points difference between the enhanced and non-enhanced versions as well as the ~1/10 conversion of speed. Basically everything looks the way it should today.
