completely agree i get triple incapped at least once a day by a spice fiend or the like, the clothing decay even though insured is playing havoc with my WS suit






unfortunately CL is not in the scope of the WS profession. we can ask for this all day long but it simply isn't going to happen, not for a long while. i prefer to focus on the more realistic goals of more schematics, fixing the schems we have (why was nothing created to use the heavy warhead, or the item completely removed?), and discussing how we can become more of a part of the economy again with all the changes that have been made. the ROTW loot does push away, as do the ADKs. some of us have had success post CU, but not everyone has, and it isn't for lack of talent or for bad resources.

consider this when discussing the CL... should a master WS/Artisan/Merchant REALLY be able to wield any non-class CL54 weapon? because that is what it will be if we were to get this, and i'm sorry, but that is not balance. you did not train any combat skills, therefore you do not deserve to be even a little bit proficient at it. ok, now, as master level combat prof and a crafting, do you deserve to be as strong as a full combat template? again, the answer is no because you did not put the time and effort into that style of play.

the price you pay for being a crafter is that you aren't going to be as good at combat. that is the one thing that keeps this system somewhat still based on skills and not levels. they are currently working on things to help out crafters in this arena, because you should be able to at least leave your house and travel to a city on a starter planet without dying. in the meantime, i suggest you find a CL80 player and stay grouped. find a droid engineer and get a combat pet made. i had a CL18 droid in the beta that kept me high enough in level to move across most of the territory i needed to to without problem. and do not forget your mounts if you still have them. it isn't much, but being a CL10 is still bettr than being a CL1. group your pet and use those natural damage reducers.

trust me, i feel for you. i had some things that were over 100dmg that got squeezed as well. i will definitely take this up with them, about all looted and mfg components, but just remember what you are asking for with this:

ANOTHER conversion... last time i checked the track record with these, they were not even good enough to be called "spotty"

ANOTHER conversion, which means a lot of time and energy would have to be put in to fixing something that is really, now, a past issue. we all lost some really good things during the conversion, many of them completely irreplacable. as i said, i will bring these things up, but in the meantime you should begin to advance through your virtual life without them, and not expecting for anything to be done. as crappy as that sounds, i think we all know that this is a pipe dream. it's great to ask for, much needed for a boost to our supply stocks, but in the grand scheme of things it more a personal issue than a community one. i want my old krayt stuff back too, but you may find more success in writing a ticket to CS than us pressing the devs for another conversion pass on a limited number of items...




CSR instantly closed my ticket saying this is a Dev only issue and that can and will do nothing, oh and sorry sorry sorry...... etc.


If it is too time comsuming to do a plug in a conversion for them, then maybe you could suggest to SOE that a reparations plan is in order. Turn in your Crates of Krayt Handlers for new Tissues on a # in crate + 1 bassis (and simillarly for other components like Gorax shards and what not), or credits.... just a thought though... but SOMETHING is in order. All of the time and credits spent shouldnt be just tossed up to "Oh well, thats life after the conversion, move on".I only have this account, no alts, and am all crafter, so I have to spend credits to get all these things. Just dont want all my time and effort to go to waste.

Ditto the cl comments. I have cancelled my account and stockpiled my resources as I'll come back if/when travel and cl are fixed but not wasting my rl money on game at the mo. Shame as i used to really enjoy it.
