Thread: Super easy and super uber grinding macro
One question:
Does this macro work when standing next a droid's crafting station? My R3 unit has a weapons/general crafting station inside him
.
If what I read is correct, this macro will work when I am standing in the middle of the desert sampling. I'm going to try this as soon as I get home.![]()
I'm having exactly the same problem Milkent is. The macro accesses my tool and opens the correct schematic, but after I put in the resources, the macro stops dead or ends my crafting session. Um... wha?
Thanks for any advice.
And no, I'm nowhere near a crafting station. Are there spaces in the /nextcraftingstage line that weren't in the post?
Peace,
Z
Does this take into the effect the option of turning off the "are you sure" questions when crafting an item?
If you go into your settings, there is an option there to turn these confirmation messages off.
Just wondering if these macros are with or without confirmation boxes (or does it matter).
I have it working great, I just had to change the /nextcraft..... to just /next.
THis works perfect for me
Thx for the macro
I am also having trouble with the "you are already crafting" sign popping up. I think this might be due to the /pause 1 after you create an item in the macro. I'm going to try giving it a 2 second pause at the end and see if that fixes it because every time I see the already crafting sign its the same as a critical failure and its hard enough getting the 500k some steel you need to master weaponsmith.
If anyone else can tell me what else i should do to loose that already crafting tag let me know its really pissin me off
Hueghhh,
I'm not in-game now but I believe I had to set my inidividual macro pauses to 5. Anything shorter guaranteed the "already crafting" message. I believe the timing is dependent on your computer's speed and your link speed, so you might want to start high and shorten the delay until you're at maximum efficiency. Best of luck.

Batikki,
Thank you for your information and i think you are partialy correct. I think if the game starts to lag then u seem to get that msg. I was at a 3 second pause for about 2 hours and was fine but as i cam closer to server shutdown i started to lag and sure enough i got alot of the msgs popping up. I think ill just quit macroin when its close to server shut down.
I'veseen somerecent 'proof' that lag plays a big part:
For some reason, the last two times I've logged in I've had ping times start in the 800's. It just so happens I 'went to sleep' in front of my personal crafter and I immediately started grinding when I logged in both times. Needless to say I was unable to complete a single item until those pings dropped closer to 100. As they say, timing is everything!!!
Thinking about making a Macro troublshooting guide.... so many of the same issues posted here. This is the answer:
SWG commands are case sensitive. Very case sensitive. that is, if you capitalize the wrong letter or vica verca, not only will the macro not work, it may just eat your resources. You will notice that alot of people posted their solution to the problem was to shorten the command from /nextcraftingStage (note only the S is capitalized, as it should be) to /nextc it works. That is because they had prieviously misspelled /nextCraftingStage (with the improper capital C). The correct command is /nextcraftingStage
When troubleshooting a macro, mess with the capitols - the commands tend to only capitalize the LAST word in the compound word that is the command.
Happy grinding.
Note: It is a violation of the untested and unproven, unenforced, and impossible to prove EULA to use 3rd party macro tools that in no way can be discovered on your system by SOE without them violating federal privacy laws (that HAVE been proven in court). So don't use them.
From all I've heard about craft macroing, you can't be next to a station, or your droid with a station. They open up that experiment, schematic stuff.
A good thing to do for those Novice Artisians out there would be to go find you a spot to survey and grind at the same time. Knock out two birds with one stone.
I'm still trying to find the windows option that lets you change your mouse button from single to a double click, I saw this mentioned in another post and liked the idea.
