Ooh! Horror Story #215.
My second week in my new location, I restock my VKs cause i was running low and then go to my lab and start crafting and I get a tell:
'Hi can you make me a VK?'
'Well, there are about 75 on my vendor at the moment.'
'No, you're out.'
'Are you looking in the right sub-category? VKs are in the 'Melee Weapons' sub-category and not the '1-handed Melee' category.'
'Yes, I looked in the sub-category, you're out of VKs.'
'Did you try the 'next items' button?'
'YES!'
So I hurry to finish the scehmatic I'm working on.. (and misname it) and rush over to the shop... to find 70 VKs on my vendor. So I find out after walking the customer through buying one that he customer has no idea about sub-categories *or* the next items button. Y'know... I don't mind people that just dn't know. But if you waste my time lying to me rather than actually trying what I suggested you're effectively sending the message that my time is worth less than yours.
Since every single one of us has this problem...I'll share atip, and then ramble some.
TIP: In my vendor ad barking, it says: "Please be sure to use the 'Next Items' button to view all items." I recommend this. In addition, I have a heavy warhead mechanism on display RIGHT NEXT to the vendor named the same thing. I figure the double exposure will eventually get through to people. Since I instituted these two measures, I have had FAR less problems with people not using the 'Next Items' button.
Now, here's an idea I've long had, and since we're sort-of on the subject, let me hear your thoughts.
We have "Friday Features" on all kinds of useless crap (including one on skill tapes that is 100% wrong from start to finish). What I would KILL to see are two "Friday Features" on the following topics:
- HowA Free-Market Economy Works (since most people that play seemingly have no damn clue)
- How To UseA Vendor (a detailed look at the unnecessarily complex and overly confusing vendor interface, with specific mention of the NEXT ITEMS BUTTON three or forty times)
What do you think? =)

I hate, hate, HATE this question.
"Oh, well, I'll just look in the 'Big Book of All The Stats ForEveryWeapon I Make.'"
This and "How're the grenades coming?"

Not really a weaponsmith thing, but people are always offering stuff to my vendor, I get alot of junk that noobies make and 15 units of hide etc...
Just right now I'm looking at my powerup vendor and someone offered a powerup schematic for 1,000,000 lol
OMG lol as I'm writing this I notice a description...

"You could very easily get MORE business by increasing your prices by a factor of ten. There is a trend that, the more expensive it is, the more valuable it must be. I'm offering this schematic to you because it will sell at 30k/crate. Take the resource cost into account, then think about the amount of benefit on crate of p'ups confers on the user. One crate of pups will last an entire day on a melee weapon, or longer. I just watched a single TKM spend 8 melee pup's finishing Jabba's theme park in its entirety. The amount of expertise involved far outweighs other aspects of the over-head production. Buffs go for 15k for three hours. These weapon p'ups last about an hour eah, so, charging 3K for each individual one is not unreasonable, considering infaltion of everything else in the game.
If you are interested in some kind of partnership for greater profits, send me an E-mail, I'll improve business."
OMG I'm dying here
I'm just wondering what this guy's day job is...if he has one. Can't...stop...laughing.
Has to be a consultant, he has no clue what the buisness is like, what to do to be succesfu, but he still want to get paid
