My questions (along with the great questions already proposed), some I've restated for emphasis:

1) When will current schematics be revised to actually make sense in terms of the end weapon? Kinetic weapons using BPHs, blasters using PFMs, lack of varied weapon damage types in all areas (munitions, firearms, melee), and all the various inconsistencies that plague weapon schematics including resource usages.

2) Weapon repairs, what is going on?

3) Experimentation inconsistencies, can this be fixed? Why can some successes actual make a weapon worse?

4) Storage for crafters in general. If one plays as a single character with one account, no lot trading, etc., how can you be viable given only 10 lots and the current structure limits on items per structure? If a person creates more storage (i.e. places another house), then you lose lots to be able to harvest. A downward spiral in effectiveness.

5) Beam Rifles, any plans on certificates for these? If not, why leave the schematic in?

6) 'Your crafting session has suddenly ended' bug resulting in the loss of all materials, will this ever be squashed?

7) Functionality ratings on tools, stations, and repair kits ... do they actually mean anything?

8) Experimenting on subcomponents like Control Units and Power Conditioners, are the end stats on these taken taken into account when crafting weapons/items that use them? If so, how? If not, why not?

That's all I can think of at the moment. These have been bugging me for awhile.

Still no Dev response yet ..

Logix, I don't know how active and how mean you are to the devs in the correspondent forums.. but you really need to kick some ass now..
I am sure it is not only you, me and the weaponsmiths that is upset.. If I am not totaly wrong so have Thunderheart only posted dev responses in 3-4 professions..

Get mean and tell them to go *beep* themself.. because TH can't ask for top 10 questions.. and then ignore it for 2 month, go tell them that they need to let TH reply to this before putting more work on his desk, or hire more staff to help TH, because this is totaly unacceptable.

You are our correspondent and you deserv to be listened to by the developers, if they do not listen to you and honor you (and us) with response to 10 simple questions after 2 MONTHS then they might aswell cancel the correspondent project,. since SOE clearly are not mature enough to communicate with their customers.

Go tell them that, and be mean and evil with them, they should listen to you and their 32 other correspondents!

Questions I would like answers to:

Question 1: Can we break apart the damage/speed experiment into two seperate experiments, and replace the combined damage/speed experiment with damage/condition?

This would allow the following experiments areas:

Damage/Condition

Speed

Range

Effeciency

This would make an enormous amount of different weapons possible and would allow weaponsmiths to create unique weapons customized to many fighting styles.

Question 2: What is the timetable to fix the damaged or incorrect items and resources in our craft.... This includes; broken certs, crap minerals required (Rhodium Steel, etc), and advanced components that are worse than their normal equivalent (adv rifle barrel, etc)

Dont need to list them, everyone else has already.

Question 3: In light of the 40-odd minerals that we must have on hand at all times, can we get additional plots to use for storage or shops?

Weaponsmith is the worst packrat career path in the game, with more named mineral requirements than any other profession. How about giving us 4 extra plots that can only be used for housing or factories...

Question 4: Can specific quests be written for weaponsmiths (and the other crafting classes) to grant small amounts of high quality resources, or skill enhancement, or schematics?

The biggest problem the novice weaponsmith faces is his inability to make a good weapon, perhaps a dozen or so novice quests to give him small amounts of very high quality minerals might make his first sales easier.

NOTE: I would love to see the entire mineral system overhauled, so that minerals were not visible until they weere mined, i.e. you had to park yourself somewhere and start sampling to see what was underneath you. Additionally, I would like to see minerals cease to be planetwide, and have the location specific to a geographic area (like real mining) - this would allow a weaponsmith to find something none of the other folks had, and would allow novices to get great minerals if they devoted the time to finding them (something a master cannot, as he is restocking weapons, shops, and answering tells like a madman.)

Rhodium blows I do not mind it seems to bare little on how good the final product is, but it focuses a penalty on the crafter. One bad apple so to speak. All the other resources can be excelent but this one resource hangs you out to dry. The one nice thing would be for them to look at the schematics and plop in a couple generic slots so that we might with effort eclipse one horrid material that drags down the work. I just want two or three more points.

Components need to be tweeked on base stat before you even start experimentation. Exp on my adv scope I made the other night base range 12 ham 22. This was a 27 percent and ended at ninety four. The base starting stats on some components might be something that needs looked at.

Weapons enhancements need to be generic and stackable on the low end stuff. If you have ten krayt tissues of the same serial they should take one space in an inventory. the picture of the krayt tissue with a number beside it. Saves inventory space good for database. Same would be true with power handler enhancer projectile feed enhancers stocks and so on.

The weapons need a complete overhaul of which seventy percent are not used. It would also be nice if instead of the temp schematic insanity each of the masters had a couple new gun certs in the master box. You could then seriously overhaul or create new weapons to fit this. Change say the power 5 into something awesome that a master smuggler might use. Overall the weapons qualifications are all huddled at the bottom. From what I have seen all the ranged masters get two new guns. That needs looked at, as does weapons certs for less combat oriented professions. Surely there is a highly concealable weapon that a dancer might have with a surprise shot, or a medic might have a carbine with a lowend healing shot. In other words many combat professions get to coop some of these skill talents healing wise. Why not allow these professions to have something better then a cdef. Even they get attacked from time to time.

different lines of experimentation need to be more rewarding. Say the range modifiers if we got far better results then some players might take the time to fight at the optimum range of their weapons to get this bonus. Ham reduction is not cutting it. Needs to be along the lines of four points off as compared to one, as is now cutting one point off is not even going to buy the player another shot. Durability also needs a slight increase to make it more desireable

Still no word....On ANY of the questions?

Allow me to by synical for a second and ask why we should bother giving our top issues if they can't even answer questions that they asked for in over 2 months? Why should should we assume that those won't be treated the same way. Dep sixed in some black hole.

The boards were reorganized to "increase communication" back in January, but all I've seen is a steady decrese in communication from the devs ever since. We can barely get then to acknowledge an issue anymore.

We finally got an acknowledgement on the 10 Questions thing yesterday. Problem is, I guess they had just bit off more than they could chew right then, so it had to be delayed until more time was available.

Unfortunately, they still have to answer 33 professions' worth of questions, so they can only go down the list and do one question at a time to be fair to everyone. The first question I threw at them was the "Weapon Rebalance" patch -- what's going to happen, when it's going to happen, etc, since it seems to be the most anticipated revamp ever. Next round .. advanced component/Rhodium/Plumbum rebalancing?

I dunno if its a priority to anyone else, but I'd really like to see Ybagi's question answered. The whole way the game sorts materials drives me nuts, and with the hundreds of resources that I have to organize it would be soooooo much more helpful if they just organized them by type (and if they did it sub-type too I would probably fall out of my chair from shock/happiness). However, there could be some strange design reason for the them being organized the way that they are, so I'm just cuirious as to whether it goes alphabetically by serial numer or something or what exactly the logic is behind the sorting algorithim. Not one of my top 5 questions, but definately in the top 10 in my book.
