And bigoted. It's possible in many games out there. And a large number of them are playable. One might even say, "Most," of them are playable. In fact, the ability to 'cap' anything is very often allowed within games. It's in this one all over the place - how HARD is it, really, to hit your Assembly / Experimentation Cap with the number of sockets a non-combat and non-wookie char has? My guess is really, at this point, that you've got a large number of credits invested in tissue that you know would be mildly harder to sell were something better to come down the pipe. Which it has. You complained before even knowing how rare these things were, and I can tell you that I personally have runten to twenty BH missions in the last two days, all lvl 81-82, and I haven't seen hide nor hair of any of these amazing component drops. Lots of smuggler crap, some BH schems, but no component drops.

Tough Freaking Luck. I ground out SW from nothing doing Artisan missions to raise money then selling ALL my piloting goods'cause I didn't know any better andtwo or three weeks after I finished, /respec came along. Did I vetch? Yes. But then I'm not a Correspondent. WS's were complaining about being unable to compete with quest weapons, and Lo And Behold There Is Suddenly A Way To Compete With Quest Weapons and you say, "Lame, you can now make perfect weapons."

Christ. Something about wanting your cake and to eat it too. What, did you think they'd adjust the schems? Do a full crafting revamp to a game they're not sure will survive out the year? No, let's just get people to do more loot grinding. Have it drop better than before, and they'll stay to see that gun they never dreamed possible. And I'll stay to build it. I want some of this stuff so I can build a carbine that can compete top the proton carbine.

I'mhappy with this, I'm sorry you're not, but I really hope you can't get it changed to suit yourself.







if you were not able to compete with quest reward weapons before this particular loot started dropping, then i must say you have not studied your craft very well. there are 3-5 weapons i can make without any enhancements that will at least rival a quest reward weapon. anything i can krayt with 100dmg+ tissue (fairly common among tissue drops) kicks the sh!t out of any quest reward weapon. you think i was being childish before? you ain't seen or heard nothing yet. that was being adamant, not childish.


my concerns are for this profession first and foremost. then i am concerned for the game. after that i am concerned for the fun factor for my firends. going further i am concerned about the fun ability for me. somewhere around dead last on my list is my concern for the pocket books of people i don't know (this is the category you fall into).

what they have asked me, and i have volunteered my time, to do is help in the reporting of bugs and bring concerns for the profession and from the weaponsmith community to the dev team. this means i have to have an idea in mind of what the profession should be, and "teh m0s+ ub3r pr0f3ssi0n !n teh gam3" isn't what i envision. it's one where there are actual levels in the economy allowing room for master crafters and non-master crafters. force sensitive crafters should have a place the same as someone who only makes grenades and isn't a master of the WS profession. all of these areas should be viable and playable solutions. with loot like this continuing to be added, it does not foster growth for the game. it tightens the hold of those with the most credits.

i am all for rewarding senior players. i always have been. i believe they give too much to new players and not enough to veterans. but this type stuff creates exclusion, and that doesn't need to happen, and is part of the reason why the game is falling apart. i'm sorry that you don't care about what happens to other people. i'm sorry that you obviously aren't a very good weaponsmith unless you can use overpowered loot. i can't help your selfishness in wanting to put yourself head shoulders above everyone else, but i can make a ruckus about overpowered loot and ways to balance it with current loot in the game, which gets devalued when stuff like this comes in. my krayt is gone. i used it all up before the weaponstock nerf that was NEEDED. all the krayt i use now comes from people who spent long hours working in the krayt graveyard to find that rare 180s drop to make the best rifle or pistol they can get. now that stuff is crap. it still can be used, but it has no value when matched against a new loot that so far i have not seen drop below 154dmg, in a set less than 4, with a SAC reduction less than -6, and three drops on my server alone in day 1 that were over 180dmg.

this is not balanced. this is not right. so take your self-righteous "i got to the top the hard way, and they owe me something for it" attitude and go to some other crafting community in some other game where it might be welcome. the majority of the people here do not subscribe to that philosophy, and neither do i.

now, you can continue this flame war if you want, but it will just be you and those like minded branding themseves within this community so everyone will know who you are. meanwhile i willposting in the dev forums and talking about ways to rebalance the tissues with the power cells, or the power cells with the tissues. i prefer the cells to be dropped in damage range to keep from multi capping, as i have already been a part of the economic damage they can cause, and do not wish to see it happen on every server, everywhere, all the time until it becomes the standard by which all combatants are used to, devaluing what should be unique and rare weapons. as it stands now, everytime you click the "loot" button, it could be the last time you ever have to buy a gun. that's a bad game funcion, and i will fight it.

I'm done with this thread too, but for completely different reasons, and I'm off to attempt looting as much of this stuff as possible before you get it nerfed.


At least REPRESENT my side of the conflict please, and calling me a noob is, while mildly amusing, additionally moderately dumb.


Branding myself? Lol. I've branded myself as one of the better crafters on Ahazi. Despite having started a year and a half into a game where long-loyalty IS rewarded (especially in a class like WS where highly rare and namedRESOURCES are so important) I am making decent weapons. I won't say they're the best. But they're decent.


You're:

1) VERY highly Biased.

2) Blowing things WAY out of proportion.

3) Ignorant of exactly how hard it is to get these things in comparison to Krayt loot.

4) Whining

and, most importantly,

5) empowered more than I am.



Yes, I want to make amazing weapons. Incredible, OMG, I can't believe they let these exist weapons. There is the possibility of doing that now. It's a rare, tough to get possibility and I'm happy about the whole situation..... Now all that's REALLY going to happen is you're going to walk in and there will be a tiny slice of the population that can use these and everyone else is going to wonder why they didn't use their respec token to get BH for three days.


Dumb.

I want there to be enough content in the game that there's aselection based upon WHICH WEAPON to use and craft, not on how well it can be made.

I got to admit that I have loved crafting with these new enhancers BUT they do take away a very very valuable aspect of the game. Having something to strive for.


I just made this and with just slightly better Power Cells I could have capped the SAC aswell (and hadnt the looted scopes been bugged it would have had 63 acc aswell) (yeah this is showing off aswell, but I do have a point with this post )


Id rather see the devs introduce variety in this game give us enhancers that up/add elemental dam, give us min dam enhancers, melee enhancers, skillmods drop than can be reverse engineered to components addding mods to weapons, barrels that cahnge the colour of the laser bullet, give us schematic drops for the ROTW weapons. Dont just make loot that makes it possible for every combat toon ingame to have capped weapons.


I was happy to see that the devs at least did give crafters a thought with this publish and I dont want to sound ungratefull, but even thou these are quite rare drops, wit the number of BHs out there a lot of people will end up with very very powerfull weapons.


I would support these if the caps on weapons were raised/removed, but I dont see that happening either
