Having the same issue you guys are this morning with /nextcraftingstage... I sure hope this isn't a stealth nerf.

The reason that the /next command in this macro doesn't work near crafting consoles is because you get an additional option in the second menu when you are near one.The second menu has three choices, experiment, create prototype, and create schematic. If you tryusingthe/next commandon this screen it doesn't advance until you click on one of the boxes. If you are not close to a console you don't have the experiment option and the /next command defaults to make prototype.

Works great for me, the only thing is I can't get the macro to stop. Does anyone know of a command to do this?

Thanks everybody. This is how i figured it out:

I was reading through Ease the Grind looking into macro grinding because I had some serious level 4 stuff to do. That night I wrote out the /createPrototype version with the expected results. Then I started to try a couple things. I tried /createPractice with no luck. After that I made the assumption that the only create command was /createPrototype and that to make modifications to this result would require arguments. The next thing I did was /createPrototype practice. Voila, it gave me practice xp but it created the item! My next iteration hit it on the mark. /createPrototype practice no item. I double checked it for a minute, then dropped two posts. One in Chilastra and one in Ease the Grind.

Enjoy! (And if you are really happy with it, swing by Chilastra and order some clothing, this tailor has to eat too)

I found that line by line advancement through /nextCraftingStage doesn't show you anything. You have to do all of the /nexts and /creates in one shot or you just remain visually on the component screen (but you components are used!). Walk through your own crafting method manually.

Clicking assemble - requires one /nextCraftingStage in your macro

Clickingnext - requires one /nextCraftingStage in your macro

Clicking create Prototype - requires two /createPrototype practice no item statements in your macro.

I have two of the last statement so that the screen closes up on me. I didn't bother trying to find a close window command and an addition create line did the trick. I had tried walking through crafting by running it from the command line and didn't have a lot of luck. When I put all of the lines together, it worked for me.

If you are too close to a crafting station you get the additional screens associated with experimentation. I recommend choosing an item that you do not need to be near a station to craft and not to craft anywhere near a station at all.

good luck

Ambival, I'm having the same problem. Did you ever find a fix ... or has anybody else? I'm nowhere near a crafting station, and I'm running through the macro manually. Everything works fine up until the step right after I load the metal -- /nextCraftingStage or /next do nothing, and if I then hit Assemble, it tells me the ingredient requirements haven't been filled. Thanks for the help.

Also, Winidious, did the /nextCraftingStage command just suddenly start working for you, or did you do something to make it work? And if so, could you enlighten me and probably some other folks who are wondering? =) Thanks

hotkey a macro /dump to your bar. This will stop a looping macro. May have to hit it several times tho

Heh. Forgot to mention how to stop. Switch to a new bar of hotkeys, preferably one filled with very few items and let the final commands of MajorGrind work itself out.

ps Everybody mind your caps. The statement /ui action toolbarSlot00 does not work for me if I don't cap the 'S' in Slot.

I just set up one hotkey to start on a tool, and one to finish.

But the practice step is handy. very handy.

Sounds like a lot of people are having trouble at first and then, many hours later, getting it to work. If anybody who has gone through problems with this macro (i.e. /nextCraftingStage not doing anything) could maybe post some of what they did to get it to finally work, I'm sure it would be a big help to everybody who's still trying to figure it out (or maybe just me). Did it just magically start working? Did you adjust one of the lines? Etc etc ... anyway, on behalf of those of us still trying to make it work, thanks for the help.
