I FULLY support you, Origins and Police, in NOT backing down on this matter. I am on Bria (Tambo), and I as well, CANNOT believe the ignorance of all the fanbois of Fiku's out there.

I like my guns a little less expensive then you guys sell them for... but that sure as hell does't mean I support Exploiters... **edit** that.

I DESTROYED ALL the guns I EVER bought from Fiku... they weren't the ones created with the power handlers/barrels in question... but I don't think he should be getting ANY UXP from me, even though he doesn't need it.

That would, of course, assume that UXP actually worked.

Arguing over whether or not this is a specific dupe with Krayt Tissues, a dupe with schematics, or an exploit in experimentation is irrelevant. None of us have any idea how these stats are achieved except for those who exploit it. Those of us innocent only know that manufacturing this many guns, be it by lucky roll or krayt tissue, is just not possible to do legitimately.

So, let's just agree on that regardless how this is being done, it's widespread, it's an exploit,and it's going to hurt all of us very, very soon. Arguing over it will not speed that process.

I have posted this as one of my top issues in the correspondent thread of the week. I urge you all to do the same.

The sad part is they are still flooding these guns out. For a 1 time fluke there sure seems to be alot of them.

Honestly, my best guess is that it is directly tied into duping schematics, based off of the evidence and screenshots many of us saw in the various threads.

The screenshots showed without a doubt that the Advanced Blaster Power-handlers had to be krayt enhanced, because they were identical in stats to a krayt enhanced handler, except that it did not list the tissue as a prerequisite in the schematic. So I'm guessing this is how this person did it: Make an Advanced Blaster Power-handler with a Krayt Tissue, and somehow dupe the schematic so that it no longer reads the schematic as requiring the tissue. Whenever that schematic runs out, dupe it again so you don't lose it, thus making it so you never ever need krayt tissues and serial numbers do not matter.

The screenshots also presented an Advanced Blaster Pistol-barrel with a marginal increase over the norm. I'm guessing this was a genuine fluke because the increase wasn't as impressive, and that the person duped the schematic an infinite amount of times so he would never lose the fluke. Then, this person just made them into guns normally. Because there are so many guns with the same serial numbers,I have to believe it's amatter of schematic duping. You could have not had as many guns as were claimed to be in this person's stock with the same serials, simply because your 1000ABPH schematic would run out long before, and you'd have to create a new one, and thus must create a new gun schematic with the new ABPHs and thus a new serial on the gun.

A post by an actual DEV, and not a CSR concerning Bria's current major issue.

I encourage anyone with information to send it to Taurin, several people know about this bug, I have sent the info i have in to him, a few others have also. The more information he gets the closer to finding the loophole in the code.

I got a response from taurin today and he believes they are on top of the issue, here is his response...

Thanks very much for this info. I think we have a handle on this particular problem but I will add this info to the bug db just in case.

Take it as you will, but I think they are on top of it... also have been investigating with local CSR's on Radiant for this specific issue....

Hmmm... Fiku OR Vast haven't even posted in their own defence on the Weaponsmith boards... maybe it's because they know what they're doing is wrong, and can't back it up with the rest of the WS community.

I've attempted a few times asking Fiku/Vast to feel free to come to Weaponsmith forum to post their thoughts on their activities, providing them a link here.

So far, supporters of Fiku/Vast have not provided much defense for their activities, other then, "nice...", "everyone should do it," and usinga CSR's response to claim that they were innocent of all charges.

If the developers find that their activities are totally legit, should we ourselves do it?

I don't know Origins. If the Dev's find that it is totally legit (which I highly doubt) then there is no other course for any of us to do but to use it. I cannot believe that the devs would decide that it is legit though. If it is...I might just give up smithing. There would be no more challenge and no more reward. Why would I even bother at all? I think I would probably just cancel my accounts and wait for another game to come out.

Nah, from Taurin's response, I get the impression that they definitely know something's going on that shouldn't be there. They're not bad guys, and we all know this cannot be legit, so just have a little faith.
