The best tangles I could make had about 151 max 1.9 speed (unsliced) using spider fangs from the fire breathing spiders in the Geo cave. Normally they only get about 109 max 2.5 speed.

Get some rangers with areatrack, it'll still take forever but you should be able to find at least one per hunt.
