Edowar, with 6 crafting tools, that'll take you roughly 32 hours of crafting.
It really depends on how much of a rush you're in to get this.
In your shoes (mainly as I'm not pushed about the FS stuff), I'd craft just when I had time to burn: waiting on a shuttle. Chatting to mates. that sort of low-intensity thing, when making 10-20 Heavy Warheads isn't going to be an effort.
The XP will build up.
For the hell of it, I converted my xp to FS xp. I currently have 30k FS Crafting XP, from capped WS and Arch XP, plus a few other bits and bobs. I'm thinking about doing the trees, but it's not something I'm going to stress over. The XP will accrue of it's own accord. *shrug*
I'm not super rushed to get the FS crafting. I figure I'll probably do an hour a night during the week and maybe two or three hours a day on weekends. It will still take close to a month just to finish one branch, though. Hehe, oh well, guess it will come when it comes.

As for how this compares to TKA, as a random example, I'm fairly confident that they cannot gain 882 FS Combat XP every 90 seconds. They still have to walk between missions. Wait on Shuttles. Queue for buffs. And so on.

Sorry. Let me just see if I have things straight. Everyone feels that casual crafters should be able grind Jedi in a matter of weeks? Let's step back from that statement. People feel that casual crafters should be able to grind 4 force sensitive trees in a few weeks?
Has the whole world gone crazy? Why should a casual crafter even be entitled to jedi? Why should a casual anybody be entitled to jedi? The whole point of the system is that casual people can't do this. Look at when this game is set in the Star Wars timeline. There are next to no jedis in this timeframe. Soon we'll haveevery casual crafter running around with lightsabers. Man this game sucks more everyday. If I want a Jedi I'll play Jedi Academy or KOTOR.
I'm not saying that casual crafters should be able to do it in a couple of weeks, but it might be nice if it didn't take 3 or 4 years. Like I said before, I only want the damn FS crafting skills; I could care less about being a Jedi. I agree with you though, that there are already too many Jedi. I'd be perfectly happy if they'd never put them in the game in the first place.

First off if you are looking to grind then you are a moron and going about it all the wrong way. If your not looking to grind then don't even bother looking at Jedi or Force sensative. If an intelligent person is looking to do the Force Crafting stuff then they have it way better off than any other prof. It may require slight modifications to your template but they'd be temporary and easy as hell to get.
PICK UP ARCHITECT. The best XP machine for crafting is the Gungan Statues which give roughly 2-3k xp per crafted item, they only use resources(no crafted components) and you don't have to keep going back and forth to the villiage you could sit right at the xp converter and craft until your full. I dunno how bright you are but crafting the damn gungan heads I could hit xp cap several times a day easily and not even have to get up to do anything other than exchange crafting xp for force xp.
The only draw back to this is the mass amount of resources it requires but come on now, which real crafter here couldn't pull in a couple mill units of ore etc... in a matter of a week or two at most.
In order to get this you would only need 0100 architect in order to craft the gungan heads. By far the most effecient way(timewise) to get any force xp. You could also argue the cost aspect if you really wanted to rant again but consider that a combat prof needs good weapons for an effective grind. well darn it yes they could use base weapons and armor if they wanted to, and you could also grind out 280,000 barrels if you wanted to make it more cost effective too. My point is that there are alternatives other than your limited mind is grasping at, and trying to make the worst possible scenario for your position. If you want to whine go ahead, frankly I think it's pointless they(soe) don't care and aren't gonna do anything about it so it's up to you to decide what you wanna do. If it's all just to much for your whiney ass then CYA later, quit the game. If your simply looking for a better way to do things then consider the gungan head option. Another thing to keep in mind is that becomeing a Jedi means doing combat. At some point your template has to shift to combat if your planning on becoming a full Jedi. The force sensative areas are to accomodate those that want to participate in Jedi stuff without the combat.
Someone in the Arch forum broke out the numbers for grinding FS crafting xp using Gungan Head statues. There conclusion was that at 3 cpu it would cost 77 million credits to finish one FS crafting branch.

No one in their right mind would actually buy all the materials to do this(what roughly 25million resources). It costs less than 1cpu to actually harvest your own and any real crafter would have the ability to harvest their own resources. It would still be costly but would require much less time than any other method I can think of. Conversion rate still sucks of course. Never said it would be cheap but if you broke down the cost in any profession the cost would be in the millions. Combat profs would even be in the millions due to armor/weapon costs. And again they'd have the choice to use crappy stuff or quality stuff, cost vs time basically. Any way you get the FS skills is going to be costly it's just a matter of how costly and how time consuming. Even if you were grinding barrles, if you were paying 3cpu on the steel you'd be in the millions again, but you'd also be into many many months of grinding at least.
