Where have you peeps who are complaining about our correspondant been? Did you just discover this board today?

Over the last week he solicited issues from users of this board, made up a big list of everything that was presented to him and asked peeps to vote on the top 5. I didn't see any of you listing your issues or voting on the top 5. So if you want to find someone to blame about why your favorite issue isn't on the list then go look in a mirror and you will see the person at fault.

The job of the weaponsmith correspondant isn't to list his or her top problems, it is to solict problems from all weaponsmiths and then to present them to the devs. If you can't be bothered to post things of concern to you then don't complain when they aren't included because if no one lists them when the WS correspondant asks for input then they shouldn't be on the list.

I apologize for being out of time when the voting happened, but I would have expected our correspondent to post actual problems with the weaponsmithing profession, not pet peeves. When I was around before the vote, most of us said the resource shifting was good the way it was. I think it is also the job of the coorespondent to shift thru real conserns and the stupid complaints. People will complain about lots of issues, that doesn't mean that they are all issues, sometimes people just like to complain.

Although I've already finished the (roughly) 24 hour grind to Master WS, I agree with some posts that anything below master is completely useless. Also, Iconur with othersthat although we complain about not having resources, the current system is working pretty well. Right now the devs should work on fixing experimentation issues and making the higher level guns more effective, along with previously stated issues. The WS correspondant was not able to identify the biggest problems with the proffession, regardless of excuses.

Also.. I see zero mention about broken subcomponents;

- Advanced power handler is buggy
- Chem dispenser is buggy
- Spraystick asking for 'control unit' advanced component doesnt seem to benefit from one in any way
- No targetting computer, no weapon mounts
- Other advanced components also have some issues - mainly since you have to use lesser quality materials due to subtype requirements, they tend to be very close to non-advanced ones. Maybe improve their max stats slightly? I *do* know that if I happen to get good quality subtypes that an advanced component needs, the end result is very nice and definitely worth it, but it seems that this is slightly 'harsh' in some cases. Maybe increase the 'minimum' stats of the advanced components a bit? *not* a huge deal tho.

Our correspondent didn't say anything about these clear-cut bugs/issues. Next correspondent, thank you.

Considering you are someone who only has 12 posts, I do not think you have any room to speak about how often those who are issuing complaints against the Correspondent actually read these forums.

Most of those with complaints against Diabalo's performance over the last month are from some of the most active Weaponsmiths on these boards, most of which are three times more active than Diabalo was.

Diabalo's first Issues post was sent in without regard to the community. When he posted the first list of issues he sent in without consent, he was met with flames and arguments. I do not believe a single person agreed in that thread that Master Weaponsmiths should have faster factories, yet, the Developers received this issue regardless. Most of the responses in that first thread agreed that the issues listed should not have been listed at such a high priority.

The second issues thread, not only was clutteredwith many Artisan issues not directly pertaining to us, butwe never even received a response on. We never were told what issues were sent in or had the votes tallied up, there was never a follow-up post, our Correspondent simply disappeared. However, not even a week after the second issues thread was created, Diabalo made posts stating he has sent in issues such as weapons needing to require ammo, an issue that was never presented in the second issue thread for voting, and that many would disagree with. But while he was still posting that he was sending in his own issues, he was not informing us directly that we are being heard.

And yes, I voted in that thread, and many others voted certain issues such as the Projectile component problems and huge bugs pertaining to the Munitions tree -- which were never even nodded at. I suggest you sir, are the one who ought to peruse these forums more often.

I disagree with you completely. Novice Weaponsmith issues are just as important as Master Weaponsmith issues.

Could you please make a quote as to who you are refering this comment to. Most of the people that post here, masters especially, are considing issues that face novices, and find them as important as things that face masters. Vice versa, things that effect masters are as important issues to novices, because somday they too will be masters.

Novices won't gain anything even if every single schematic was moved to novice.

Without 3-4 boxes in experimenting, you are churning out total junk that nobody buys unless every master on the server has gone hiding.

So, unless they completely redesign the weaponsmith tree and basically give you full experiment points even at novice (and then you get to do 'better' weapons as you level up as schems open up), novices will still never sell anything.

So just take a seat and start churning out those barrels. I doubt they do total crafter redesign at this point. Yes, their system is borked, but it's WAY too late to radically alter it.

kelec,

you are grinding the wrong item. you need to get firearms I and grind projectile rifle barrels for 94 xp with practice or 90 w/o practice. each require 46 steel, and i could do one every ten seconds, and after that large patch with automatically selects the last thing you made, it should be even faster.

24 hours of grinding? Please tell me how you were able to get to Master Weaponsmith with only 24 hours of grinding. By my calcuations, assuming grinding on 60wxp-point blaster pistol barrels at a rate of 7500 wxp per hour, it would take something on the order of 110 hours to grind up to Master. This is based on using the in-game macro system to open the tool and choose the schematic and so on.

As I only have Novice, Firearms 1, and Techniques 1, I'm a bit of a lowb and any feedback or suggestions you guys can make would be greatly appreciated.

Just incase no-one else had noticed it, since the big patch everyone now has the cert to use the republic blaster. I guess the Devs didn't know where to put it so they gave it to everyone.

Maybe we need 2 correspondents.

Diablo appears to be the 'Master Weaponsmith' correspondent. But the issues listed don't seem to correspond to the concerns I hear from other 'non-masters'.

Real issues for non-masters:

- Non-masters do not have market.

- Non-masters do not have any 'large items' they can make. In all crafter classes 'large items' are the way to level up without carpal tunnel syndrome.

Oh, and item 6 is clearly not something most crafters would want.

The crafting professions are far too top heavy already. *All* professions should have *diminishing* returns as you go higher, not accelerating returns, which is what we have now.

The other issue, which effects all classes, and specifically me when reviewing my last post.

Is....
