actually, i am not sure if we listed this as an issue. i will get it in with the next bug list...
I submitted numerous CS tickets on this issue and got generic "sorry you are having problems, delete this ticket ASAP" response on it each time. There is a known bug regarding this and a CSR confirmed with me on my last CS ticket, but gave no answers regarding it. Also, krayt tissues he said is a known issue with getting critical failures with also. I would like to know why there is a know "issue" with crafting with enhanced componants which gives critical failures. I had someone bring me some +240 max damage tissues in a stack of 6 for a T21 and my first exp roll was a critical failure, not a biggie since I was doing the SAC. Second attempt a amazing success, good glad to see it. Third attempt was a, yup you guessed it, critical failure. Hmmm, now this seems a bit wrong since the customer got this rare loot for me to do something for him and then I get a few criticals. End result wasn't too bad, but I would have rather got him a 89 SAC T21 instead of a 102 SAC weapon. Any idea on when they will fix all of the "known bugs" for WS? Especially the melee and ranged crafting conversion since IMO that is a pretty important one.

i have not gotten a critical failure using krayt tissue in i don't know how long anymore, and before being named a correspondent was advocate fo the complexity of an item being INCREASED when using loot to enhance it, giving more diversity to high end loot, instead of it always meaning you now have an uber weapon. i will note it to the devs but what i need to know is any special circustances surrounding this so they can try to recreate it:
were you at a crafting station or using a droid?
was this you crafting station, or a community one in a PC?
what was the rating on the station?
what is the rating on your tools?
were you in a research center?
were you using bespin port?
are you a 12 point crafter?
do you have ANY of the force crafting trees at all?
what planet were you on?

ok, maybe i am confused.. are you getting crit fails on ASSEMBLY or on EXPERIMENTATION? if it is assembly, that is a bug. those were removed. if it is on experimentation then it may be a bugged roll you are in, they reworked the formula and now non-FC crafters get much worse odds (that would be crappy, but consistent), or you're just going through a bad stretch. i will post this info to the Corr boards to see if we can get them to take a look at the formula and get back to you when i get some info...
for reference - im a master FS crafter with a +25 experiment +25 assembly cloak
in a research center- i have made 100+ krayt weapons since the CU - and 80 or so since Pub 17 - have had nothin worse than an great sucess on anything

I get the criticals on Experimentation. I am going to give it a try again today since I now have +125 to assembly and I am going to buy some bespin port and see if that will help as well. Thanks for your quick responses.

I get the criticals on Experimentation. I am going to give it a try again today since I now have +125 to assembly and I am going to buy some bespin port and see if that will help as well. Thanks for your quick responses.
assembly mods mean very little and only count towars a VERY slight increase in your chance of againing a critical success on assembly. don't even worry about assembly. +20 or higher bespin port should be available on your server from what i have seen of the resources that have passed through there.
Anyway, something changed during the CU. Before the CU, it was rare that I got a critical failure during experimentation. Now, I get it on a regular basis if I don't use bespin port.
I've always used bespin port for custom work, since I don't want to risk great loot. But using bespin port isn't practical when you are trying to create a bunch of weapon schematics.

they may have tweaked it to crete separation from mere 12 point crafters to force sensitive crafters. you have to admit, anyone who has put in time to gain the force crafting bonuses should have some sort of edge onthose who haven't... the edge may be a little too high though. if you guys can get me some extensive testing and feedback resluts i can post them in the Corr forum for the Devs to review. the current PR does not allow them to give timetables, but maybe we can at least get something in the pipeline for you.
