I agree. Even those that bought stuff and used 30k resource kits will still have the best resources under the new-new system. They won't be as great a % greater than the lower stuff however.

Not aways, especially in the cases where you're looking at more then 1 stat. If one resources was on a really narrow range it would be useful to focus on that and then let the other stat, working in the full range, go as low as 700 or 800 and you'd still have something "better". So something like Polysteel in spraystics for that short time period two spawns, one of 1000CD 861OQ and the other of 990CD 990OQ the foremer was better because the weighting of CD was so high. So if you used the 30k resource crate for the 1000CD/861OQ instead of the 990/990 stuff you got screwed.

The good thing about this change is that most smiths probably already were using the 990/990 stuff and so now can go back to it without any problem (even if they were out a resource deed or a few mil credits)

The bad news is this still doesn't make things any more usable. Its still a hack between 2 systems without a UI to match. There are still funky caps all over the place. One cannot ever evaluate resources quickly (example: CD+OQ > 1800 is good), and a single resource will still vary in how "good" it is in different applications where the same combinations of stats are used.
