This sounds like another one of those ideas that the devs haven't thought through all the way, like ADK's, resource kits and the new bounty hunter missions. Am I going to need an entertainer alt now to make sure I can get one of these buffs whenever I need it? It sounds like this is going to be one of those "must have" buffs if you are a serious crafter. The ramifications will be huge and, I suspect, not very good for the game--just another way to dumb down crafting.

Not to pick a fight, but I am. The New BH missions are very thought out. And very fun. And the loots we get keep us coming back to you or to an AS for weapons or armor.
The right thing wouldn't be to screw over BH because they finally got something good; the right thing would be to give everyone something as good as the new BH missions.
(then again, I am well aware of how the old Coordinator here tried to poison everyone on the new BH missions, so seeing his attitude on a few WS's in here isn't surprising....)
I have no problem with BH's getting new loot (though I agree that other non-BH combat professions should have similar opportunities). The reason I thought the new BH missions weren't very well thought out, is because a toon with two elitenon-BH combat professions (CL 80), and novice BH, could basically get the same kinds of missions as an MBH. The crucial difference though, is that the novice BH doesn't have to go offworld to do their missions (often they only have to go a couple hundred meters from the mission terminal). So in the time it took me to do one off-world BH mission, a CL 80 toon with novice-BH could doaroundfourmissions, withthe same kinds of loot, and the same credit payout.
Clearly that was not well thought out by the Devs. The fact that they are moving to remedy the situation in the next publish only proves that it wasn't well thought out (though it does them credit that they are trying to fix it so quickly, instead of waiting weeks).

lol
That about sums it up.
I love crafting because it is something that is rewarding. I mean it is fun to make something or get a better resource to make a certain weapon better by a few points. I play a crafter because you have to use your brain. I collected a lot of resources before I even went WS. It was a little over a year before I got everything.
Great resources are kind of worthless now and with resource kits anyone can get them. So, even noobs can. So whyhave this buff? Let them struggle some like we all did.Why can't they just take out the one buff for the resources? I mean that is going to take the fun out of crafting. It will make everything the same.
I don't know I just thinkthe resourcebuff is justdumb.
F them. Purely and simply F them.It shouldn't be easy to make a maxed out weapon. In fact, I won't sell any resources to anyone anymore. And I suggest all long term crafters to do the same if this goes live. I will only share resources with my guildies, period. This is a total and utter slap in the face to those of us that have been playing and collecting resourcessince launch.
What is next? Master crafters havetoactually craft the items forthe new crafters too? I mean where is the work involved for them?Oh please please put this one through! /sarcasm off
Or perhaps we can all stop crafting for a week or so? This is just sad.

This new feature is to benefit the newer less experianced crafter who may not have the resources for the best item. I would think the cap is still i place and those who are capped will remain so and the lesser crafters will have the gap narrowed to be able to compete with the oldtimers.
Just an fyi, SOE is making a solid effort to do away with the mass produced crafting. It's just a matter of time before we hear "I remember when we have weaponsmiths who custom built our weapons..."

I could be mistaken but I belive that from the very begnining the eliete marks that drop good loot were supposed to be ONLY master missions. I was suprised to hear non-Master LvL missions pulling these, sounds more like a bug fix than a nerf of some sorts.

just get rid of this one (the highlited one) for every profession and everything will be fine. at least in my stupid little teenager opinion it would be lol.

This isn't going to hurt any of the crafters.
Every stat on your weapons takes multiple stats to be good, it is highly unlikely that all those stats are 1000 on any resource you own. This will help established as well as upcoming crafters.
thats just plain wrong. they dont have to all be 1000.
experimental percentages are based on the resource stat caps. any long term weaponsmith is already within 1-3 percent of every resource stat cap on almost everything they make. 1000oq and 200cd for polonium for example (not exact off the top of my head)
this change will make everyone able to craft at 100 percent experimentation far far far too easily.
only have to get 91 percent there. the rest is from the musicians.
LAME.
