Yes, they are "successes" either call them failures or make them do some good for the weapon's stats.

yes
I dont dare craft anything of importance without the foods bespin/cake
and as has been mentioned without foods ive found it common to get multiple moderates on the same build , which is a bit much imo

Yes
I wouldn't mind them so much if they were successful in some way. But most of the time the stats turn out worse than before and that is the part that is frustrating.

Yes, reaserch center but if I use port it's fine. If I try portless, I'm done, prob 2-3 in a row after 1st experimentation.

yes
Same as others here. No FS and unless I use food, guaranteed at least one each time it seems...

I think armorsmiths and other crafters experience the same amount of moderate successes/crit failures as we do. However, the very nature of our profession makes this trend in experimentation problems stand out like a sore thumb. Weaponsmiths are tailered towards customization more so than any other crafting profession. When you need armor, you go the armor vendor and pick up a suite of armor that has been run in a factory. When you go to buy meds, buffs, ship components, food, they have all been run in factories (ok well maybe not ship components). When a majority of your sales come factory run items, getting a moderate success or critical failure means you can just craft another schematic until you get what you want. I would say that most weaponsmiths make a large amount of their credits by selling loot weapons. I know I do exclusively custom weapons for money, and for favors to friends. People who PvP or do high level PvE are going to want to have good weapons, the best, and you can't do that by running factory weapons. You make acklay power hammers, stun batons, gaffi sticks, krayt jawas, geo's, flamers, DE-10's, Scythes, Hacks, Enhanced VKs and so on - If you mess up even just one bit - you can't go back and craft another - your loot is gone and so is the opportunity to get the best results from your resources and loot components. That is why is sucks hardcore to get even one mod succes as a weaponsmith.

I think they should be called "moderate failures". There is nothing successful about them.
Yes they are a huge problem. Even in a research center you get way too many of them.

I got 2 on a Geo PH, others using the same cubes came out at 494 max. This one was 474 :S only 3 damage better than my bog standard ones.
