I think "nerf" is way more annoying than über personally--that's the one I would vote to do away with.

But if it's really a problem, just come to an agreement on a new word that you like and then start using it--if enough people do it, it will catch. Of course 6 months from now you'll be right back here saying that word is now really annoying 'cause it's not the word itself that is annoying you, it's the people using it and the frequency.

How about Bo$$? Huh, huh...?

Growing up, I had a neighbor who used a word I hated even more than I hate uber now. That word was "primo" Everything that he thought was great quality was primo. The first VCR i bought in 1984 was gonna be a primo unit because he was gonna help me pick it out, well at least according to him (hahaha, this was before they even had 4 head units or stereo sound).....LOL what a Jerk off

Uber does have the potential to be a good marketing tool. I did sell an "uber evil kill babies CDEF pistol" once for 5K. True story. Sad thing is, though, is that it was made from grind quality materials.

Funny I auto-avoid funky named weapons on the bazaar.. Think to myself "Only a poor newbie will fall for that one.."

The problem like a lot of people have said is its over use...if only the truely great things were referred to as uber, then it wouldn't be a problem....but when you have people naming CDEF Pistols "Uber" well, thats when you know its outta crontrol....The solution is of course to only name things "Uber" when they are truly uber by your standards....

Even know one of my favorite guns i did name it Super Uber Republic Blaster (yes, latin & german peoplei know that means above and above (even though Over and Above dose have a nice ring to it)), but i think that the name's justified as it has a max damage of 520,,,
