OMG you ppl r lame, I have one walked for thousands of meters thru desolate wastelands in search of the perfect resource/spawn location. It's kinda sad when its extemely easy now-a-days to use 1.) a shuttle from a player city 2.) a vehicle 3.) the auction tab.
Goodness how you must have suffered, you poor thing. Come on in and have a glass of blue milk, your mind obviously needs regenerating.
Seriously, this is the most ridiculous, patronising attack I have seen on these boards in some time. Just because you were born a martyr doesn't mean that those of us who actually want to enjoy this game should have to go through the same agonies as you.

It was a nice idea for a site like that, but for people like yourself to ONLY use it to find spawns and NEVER contribute to it by searching on your own is lame and degrades the whole weaponsmith community.
To whom are you referring here? I'm so gobsmacked that eloquence escapes me, so... bite me. I have spent hours contributing to this database, and I personally don't resent anyone who just gets info from it - it's why I put the data there in the first place, and it's why Trokk build the damn thing in the first place too. How in the name of all that's brown and dusty could anything like this 'degrade' the weaponsmith communit? You are such a snob - and I should know, I've a double-barreled surname, was born in the Home Counties and have a posh British accent.
In any case, who the hell are you to judge what degrades the weaponsmith community?
Oh - and you can't use SWGCraft.com to find spawns - you still need to search for the actual resource yourself. It seems as if you haven't used this tool -- so a quick recap... it's a great summary of all the stats of each resource that is recorded on it, and allows weaponsmith, etc, to know when to spend the time and energy on locating and harvesting a given resource and when not to bother. Really, you should try it -- I recommend it.

Doing it the old fashioned way, taking a walk or a ride through the woods to find the stuff you need has been an enjoyable component to the game. I enjoy the challenge and I get to see and experience a few things that I would have missed by staying in the lab.
Fair enough -- you have your own way of playing the game and no sign of looking down on others who chose to play in a slightly different fashion. Enjoy yourself, as will I! In fact, your point bears repeating... people who limit themselves to one style of play only in this game do miss out a whole lot of the richness of this environment. Man, I love this game.

Seriously, this just shows how incompetent everyone is.
You what?
What was edited from this post, I wonder?
You're taking this all desparately seriously here. It's a GAME, remember? One gets the impression that you're looking down on everyone else from the lofty heights of your assumed superiority... and then one remembers that as fun as this is, this is a geeky Star Wars game and if this is the only sphere of life in which you can convince yourself that you excel over all others, then fine. Enjoy your supposed superiority... may it bring you much happiness. The rest of us will take the game as it comes without having to lord it up over everyone else, and hopefully be able to take a step back every now and then and see this for what it is... a game, a community that exists solely for our enjoyment.

As a new novice weaponsmith i downloaded the JnF tool and i can't figure out how to work it for my life! Could anyone point me in the right direction for a readme, or an article explaining how it's used?
There should have been a Word file that was included in the download - that will have a lot in it. Mind you, it took me a while to work the tool out too (still not sure that I'm using it to its greatest extent!), so if you've any specific questions, I'm sure I or someone else can help.

Anyone know af an alternate site or maybe a forum that lists recent resources and stats?
I go to "current resources" and I slowly scroll down the list looking for any resources that have "hours" or "minutes" for how long ago they were added. Only takes a couple minutes.
