2 things

1. you dont need master artisan to make the best powerups you only need eng 4 and domestic 4 there is no experiment bonus at master

2. to find the schematic look in dp.. count left to right.. omit any schem that requires a special or station ...ie: clothing food/chem

you can also use /macro macroname to call a macro, makes it a hell of a lot easier to loop a macro

One thing missing which would be incredibly useful and is found in nearly every other forum for holo grinders is total resources required. So that those of us who are doing other professions first can stock pile the necessary resourcesand burn through wsmith faster.

Okay, what am I doing wrong? I'm novice ws and don't have schematics for metal staves, blaster or pistol barrels. Closest I have is a barrel powerup schematic.

Make sure you're usin' a weapon crafting tool.

For those who cannot find the slot number of the item you'll craft, you have to enter the value and try it like I did on yesterday. And I don't understand why you have 2 macros instead of one. I have 7 crafting tools and 1 macro and it works fine.

I'm at work right now so forgive me if some of this is incorrect. I'm gonna try and answer a few questions

-when crafting weapons you need to be using a weapon and droidcrafting tool. NOT the generl item crafting tool.

-those that are posting their macros. some of you didn't have the semi colon on the end of each line of code. this is something you NEED. My macros never ran with out it.

-for those trying to find your draft schematic. a quick way to go rather than just running the macro to see if it worked. Open your data pad to the draft schematics page. then open up a weapon crafting tool. then type

/sel xx (xx is any number) /sel 146 would select the 146 schematic. note: this only works with the draft schematic page open in your data pad

this will select a schematic and bump you into the ingredient screen. its quicker than editing your macro and running it over and over again to see if your schematic number is correct. This is especially useful for those of us that made the mistake of sorting our schematics. the schematic numbers seem to flow in the order you learned them. so a schematic for a flame thrower would be a higher number than the schematic for a blaster barrel. you have to guess at the first number, but eventually you'll get there. I had to start out at 90 and work my way to 145 to find the schematic number for a metal staff.

Hope I could help,

I'm willing to answer questions in game too if you happen to be on Flurry or Test Center.

If I recall, crafting next to a station caused this problem. I can't find the original thread about it, so I don't know for sure, though.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but there is absolutely no need to waste your time trying to guess what a schematic's numbers is.

First, if you're grinding a weapon, you must be standing next to a crafting station in order for certain schematics to be available to you (like Blaster Rifle Barrel).

Then open your crafting tool and simply count the number of schematics until you reach the one you're trying to grind. Like most computer numbering systems, the firstitem is zero, not one, so you'll have to subtract one from your final count (ie: the 100thcraftable itemwill be schematic number 99).

Please don't repeat my mistakes. I wasted 30 minutes trying to find an "invisible" schematic because I simply wasn't standing next to a crafting station. Then I wasted another 30 minutes buying into the "you have to guess what the schematic number is". You don't, all you have to do is count. The number is different for everyone because we don't all have exctly the same skill boxes filled and hence, the number of schematics available to each of us varies.

And be prepared, once you get trained more schematics will be available to you, so you may have to count to find the new number for the same schematic you just finished grinding. Blaster Rifle Barrels was #94 for me until I trained in Advanced Munitions, then it became#99. You'll have toedit your macro to accomodate this.

And one final tip: If you tap the ALT key once before starting your macro, the mouse cursor will be in free-float mode and stay on the resource box instead of automatically recentering itself on the screen after each iteration of the crafting session. This one saves on a ton of unnecessary mouse-movement tedium.
