Thread: Questions you NEVER ask a weaponsmith...

I still dont have anyone on ignore, despite some of the stupid questions I get.
The most common qestion I get is "Are you VK's acklay enhanced?"
Doesnt bother me. Most people really dont know what kind of enhancement goes into what weapon. At least they knew enough that it wasnt Krayt tissue and that acklay does at least go into some melee weapons.

This happened while i was standing somewhere in coro,and yes..i had forgotten to take of my mws tag
Dude:hey man..can you repair my weapon?
me:i believe the system is bugged you got as much chance on a good repair as i do.
Dude:aren't you a master weaponsmith?
Me:yes i am.
Dude:so..repair my weapon.
Me:i can..but as i said you have as much chance of a good repair as i do.
Dude:so you are telling me you are a master,but you cannot repair my weapon any better than i can?
Me:yeah.
Dude:Why is that?
Me:*getting edgy* dude...i don't fooking know!... ask sony!
Nothing happens for a couple of minutes after this..untill.
Dude:hey man....he's not online!

Newb: Hey Sami can you make me a good carbine for beginners?
Me: Sure, what level are you?
Newb: Just novice marksman.
Me:Ok, I'll make you a great DH17.
Newb: Ok, thanks.
Me: NP...here ya go.
Newb: Great thanks...you're the best. How much?
Me: Just keep it, but you can repay me by being a good customer.

Newb: Hey Sami can you make me a better weapon? I just leveled up.
Me: Just keep that one until you can use a laser carbine, then just buyone from my vendor.

system e-mail: Newb has just offered an item to your vendor.
I walk over to my vendor and see this.....
Newb has offered a DH17 carbine for 5000 credits

This is almost better than the Computer Tech Support stories I read.
I'm new to WS (1 week) and new to the game (1 month). I've had Novice WS up since I started it, and the other titles till master and I leave my master up for promotion. I'll take it down if it gets bad but mostly I hide on Rori and miss out on all the stupid people since my PA town I'm in isn't on the world map yet.
However... that does not leave me free from stupid people, or at least stupid questions. Even experienced players ask the dummest questions. The following sample is a convo between a guild mate and me, a guild mate who had bee playing for a long time and traded a Featherweight FWG5 AND Enhanced E11 Carbine schematics to me for a Large Axe, a Two-Handed Axe, and a Two-handed Curved Sword - what, like I was going to turn that down?! The point being they have a ton of $$ and have been playing for a while. I submit the following:
Guildy: wyr i need a weapon
Me: What weapon?
Guildy: i got to grind some sort of sword skill or pole arms or something
Me: lol, ok. Well which one are you going to grind?
Guildy: hmmm 2 handed i think
Guildy: but i need one a can use
Then followed the "what is your highest two-handed skill (only novice brawler - is currently TKM I think)" and then I looked up what the certs were for each step, etc. I may not know much about this game but I have no idea where they have been - and how they got so much money without being able to know what they need or how to look it up. Sheesh. I'll drop my MSW title real fast if this continues as so many here have posted! lol.

Wooohoooo 15 pages in a little over 2hrs good stuff indeed. (Im at work so i just gotpaid for that also) The Sony is not on line was hands down the best. I've come to the conclusion that any combat prof can wear their master title loud and proud but any crafter including doc is just asking for trouble doing so.
After reading all that I'll go ahead and apologize to Pozdol in case I did any such annoying stuff during the few times I did buisiness with him. Poz made me one of the nastiest Stun bats our server has seen and I sold it for 16mil. I should have kept it making 16mil isnt that hard, finding 200+min 370+ max bones is.

Put up another tag (I use Master Merchant), and then put up "no title". You'll revert to the other tag.
