Thread: OK logix, EXPLOIT OR NOT?
I am a bh, but i do know bout my custom guns and every part used.
every one of my guns is custom made.
Therefore it uses the schematic.
Anyways, for the hardcore smart combat ppl that know bout weapons, i think its very fair that only 3 uses are provided.
You can make 1000 regular.
But since i am gonna ahve 1 that has +90 to max damage, i think ill go with mine.
Kinda confusing, but i think some ppl will get it
Please consider this (excerpt from my post elsewhere), as to WHY this is a limited use schematic:
2) As to "why" they did it.. I would think it's fairly obvious. Many people don't seem to see the forest through the trees here. New weapon schems for rewards... New weapons should become "prefered" by the combat community, over the old ones, or the dev's work on theme park rewarding is totally wasted. How to accomplish that? (note, the new FWG5 schem is slightly slower, and slightly less damage than the FWG5 of 1 week ago-- which are the stats combat folks like) "Out with the old, In with the new!" -- In a very short period of time, this creates exactly the situation the devs wish to see... Players are now FORCED to do the theme parks, possibly in greater quantity, if they want the FWG5 (or any of the new weapons- more on that in a min). This means more player participation in the "storyline". This change ALSO ties the combat community back to the crafting community MUCH stronger than before. If they want the weapon, they have to GO GET the schem.. and give it to a WS. (I've gotten 3 schems in trade for 1-3 of the completed weapon FROM the schem).
Yeah, like I have time to cater to a line of people waiting for me to hand make their weapons for them.
I already don't have enough time to make all the weapons I need to make even with factories. If they seriously think I am going to stand around all day hand-making weapons they are crazy!

Jeez people. You guys are really worrying about this way too much. Sell your weapons, make your schematics. You didn't do some freaky trick to get the option. They "gave" you the option to create schematic or create weapon. You didn't cheat. Not like you tried some stupid smuggler line to get 5 slices on a weapon and you didn't hack into the system and make it so you could shoot through walls. THEY GAVE YOU THE OPTION!!
That doesn't mean we won't wake up tomorrow to find 500 "invalid" guns on our vendors without warning.
There has been no verified response on this thus far. The developers have the weekend off, so they're probably just getting started with their Monday meetings right now. I'll let you know as soon as I have something to report.
If I have to hand craft the regular versions of these then I will just adda zero behind the price.
Which would effectively keep my stock up even if I add only one of each of the new guns to the vendor.
no kidding, it was on TC for a while, dont u think WS on TC were making factory runs of those ?
for me that's the answer : working as intended
now someone mentioned that tailors need looted component making it unfair we can make factory runs of FFWG5 (which arent that good) or enhanced rep blasters (usable by rebels only ?)....lol we have several new schematics requiring looted components, just some of them dont, what's the problem ?

Yup, the precedent we have now is that the devs can step in at any time and randomly invalidate any number of goods with no compensation or warning.
Logix, I know I shouldn't bring this up here, but I still cannot believe you are supporting the manner in which the devs are doing this. It is completely unfair to both Weaponsmiths and customers.
