so. where is your official word on this from the dev's, is this an exploit or not?
taking lootedlimited use schematic, i.e republic blaster and building a schematic with it for 1k weapons on all 3 uses, allowing you to build 1497 republic blasters, instead of 3?
I don't want to exploit, but I would like to take advantage of this and build enough weapons for my guildmates.
I see many weaponsmiths are building a good amount of these weapons in bulk already, I guess i'll be joining them shortly.

This is definitely not an exploit, because um its built into the game. If they wanted to make it as only 3 guns could be build then they would have made it known sooner, and would probably have implemented some code that prevented the creation of schematics on these. I have already made 1000 run schems as have many other weaponsmiths.

exploit or not......this is very lame that this is posable.....the talors need loot items for thoes...making them unable to doruns of more than 10 per...
and you weapionsmiths should be saying you DONT want this to be posable....becouse efffictivly you will be killing the market for thies weapions.....they should be uncommon....not....everywere....
just my opinion ......

I'd like to know the official answer on this as well. Originally I made a run of 25 of the new Featherweight FWG5s... but someone put the thought into my head that it may be a bug that we are able to do so - as a result, I pulled the remaining from my vendors and am going to wait for an official word.

As long as the weapons dont require specific identical resources then its by game design that this can be done. Nothing in them is unique and none of the componants for them are dropped.
When the sythes are actually in game this will be different as they require 2 identical componants, both made from MOB dropped componants. Once one is made, the schematic is useless as there are no more componants that exist with the identical serial number.
It all falls back to the days when none of the mob dropped componants had serial numbers. To fix the exploit of being able to make 100 weapons (at the time schematics were only 100 uses) with any similar dropped item they added the SN's, making the reuse of that particular schematic not possable when the componants were gone.If it was by origional design that theywanted only 3 items made thenit seems they have created another problem.
Been managing QA teams for too long here to mention the number of times this happens...One bug fix leads to a design change which opens an entire new can of worms down the line in the product lifecycle because the reaction to the short term was too immediate.
Just my 2c.
To fix it? Have the PM listen to QA once in a while, it helps.

Jeez people. You guys are really worrying about this way too much. Sell your weapons, make your schematics. You didn't do some freaky trick to get the option. They "gave" you the option to create schematic or create weapon. You didn't cheat. Not like you tried some stupid smuggler line to get 5 slices on a weapon and you didn't hack into the system and make it so you could shoot through walls. THEY GAVE YOU THE OPTION!!
Just my opinion, not official

Krayt FWG5s, Beam Rifles, Republic Blasters... I think you are giving them credit beyond their due. Adequate testing and forethought has not been a strong point so far.

um... that's as much of an exploit as making a factory run of powerups or power handlers or something...
If they didn't want us factory running them, they would have made them require a loot item (ala the acid rifles coming out with the genoshan publish), they could have made them straight up not-able to be factory ran, etc.

Well the arguement is, if they wanted it to be limited they would use required sub components like the nightsister lance. then, why give u a limited use of 3? why not just make it permanent once u read it? I'm a crate guy, I leave everything in crates, as a small weaponsmith, this would kill me to loose a stock of weapons due to some nerf down the road.

JUST MAKE SURE YOU UNLOAD THEM ALL ON A VENDOR
See, good weapons kept in crates is an exploit.
But having them loose on a vendor is perfectly fine.
Its not what weapons you have, but how they are stored.
I am really starting to hate this game.

Seems to me like it should be only able to make 3 guns from each schematic but, as many people have stated there is no requirement for a looted component so I would not think this to be an exploit. However you very well could end up with an invalid gun a week from now like Logix stated.
