I guess I'm one of the few that just charges an assembly fee, usually between 25-100k. I don't demand loot but sometimes it is offered, and when they do I offer the assembly free of charge usually.
I guess it helps not really needing "credits" anymore as I couldn't possibly spend all that I have right now anyway

Maybe they're complaining about me. I usually end up trading an already completed scythe for a scythe schematic, usually because a) they don't have the geo stuff, andb) they don't have to wait around while I make it. No, I don't always tell them I could get 4 scythes from that schem unless they ask (ask me no questions, I tell no lies), besides, I don't always have the loot to get 4 scythes.
If they have 7 cubes/pastes, then I'll give them 2 blades for the schem. No loot, they're only getting 1 blade for the schem, unless they pay.

I do not see it that way since there is a build in limitation there still, It takes much longer to get the 7 power cubes and Agents with the same serial numbers and then your giving up 3 of each to make both the core schematic and scythe schematic to end up with 2 blades. It is like saying you can only make 5 FWG5 pistols, because the schematic is only 5 uses, but with each use you can run several hundred weapons.

The only reason that I want them to bring me the loot components is the fact that I want to keep my loot stuff for my own weapons. Or weapons used by other members of the guild.

No dont even mention it. If those damn devs start thinking we have any kind of upper hand on the economy they will start calling that an exploit! or if the Jedi get wind that we get two more than the schematic says

I'm always up front with my customers, who are mainly guild members anyways. When they want something special made, I tell them everything they'll need to get maximum use out of their limited schematics/loot.
The best policy is to always be truthful and upfront. As someone above said, it can take years to build a good reputation, and moments to destroy it. My reputation is far more important to methan any amount of play money (or real money, for that matter
).

No, it is not an exploit, it is perfectly legit. Same as making a 1000 use schematic from a Featherweight Fwg5, Modified Republic Blaster, or Enhanced e11. The only limit is the 2 identical geonocian sword cores, and the highest # they drop in is 7, which in the end yields 2 scythes per use.

This has been my experience as well. Still, there are always "bad seeds" who rip people off and make the rest of us look bad. It seems that on most servers, though, there are reputable people that people prefer to deal with because they are trusted. As Ybagi said, it can take a while to build up a solid reputation. But having that reputation is more valuable than all the credits you could possibly want.

I alwaysexplain what they can get from a scythe schem (or any other kind of loot schem) and either offer a free scythe or 2 (if they have the loot components) in return for the 2nd use, or if they have enough loot components for 4 scythes will charge just for resources used at the same price that i charge for normal weapons plus a charge to cover the cost of pyollian cake and bespin port.
What i dont do is use my stock of cubes and agents as these are either looted by myself or given to me by my guild.

I'll explain all ther option and the requirements for each, then let them decide which way to go.
If they suppy everything and and are fully using the schem i just tell them to tip what they feel for payment(i'll suply loot at my cost if need be)
Of coarse the tip will effect where in line they end up in future.
.. and the ones who understand this without saying become good customers.
