I was talking to someone the other day about me making a scythe for him. I was going through the whole amount of cubes needed and telling him if he could get his hands on a set of 7 cubes and agents he could have 2 scythes and only take up one use on the schematic.

Anyways the issue that came up was when I told him there was 2 uses in a scythe scematic and he said thats funny a weaponsmith on another server only made me on scythe when I provided him with a schematic.

So my question is do some weaponsmiths not tell there customers the whole truth? I know that some people can white lie and just forget to say that there are two uses and say something like.. you provide the schematic and Ill make you a scythe of no charge or something like that. I am totally honest though and try to let me customers know exaclty what is going on.

I know it can be frustrating sometimes when people are always trying to take advantage of us and sell us loot for huge amounts of money.. like the guy who tryed to sell me a set of 11 identical base tissues for like 4-5 million cause I could make an Uber T21 with it. Just cause we have money people think they can take advantage of us.. anyways though we should not be trying to take advantage of others by not telling them the whole truth(not to much info or we confuse them heh).

I'm 100% honest and upfront with my customers. i tell them their best options, i tell them not to rush into something. i tell them what i would do in their position. and then let them make the decision.

i also do not charge a cent to make a weapon as long as its personal use.

honesty and being fair to your customers will go a long way.

Idon't charge people if they want me to assemble stuff and have the loot required. If somebody comes to me with questions i answer them. And after the big long and repeating story they want 2 or even 4 scythes i tell them how much the cubes will cost them. Most of the time they get scared and don't want to pay so much. i don't give the cubes/pastes at cost price offcourse. I got those to make a profit with i won't give them for nothing. I will just loose time resources and money on it.

If they don't have any cubes/pastes i give them the offer: 1 free scythe if i get the schematic and offcourse the other use so i can craft 1 or 2 scythes with it and get make some money.

Now if they bring a schematic and enough cubes for 1 or 2 scythes(2 use) i just craft those but i do tell them you could make 4 out of the schematic. I don't charge for that but most of the time i still get a tip. I will take a nice Thank you as well. But people who can't even say that nicely can bite me next time. i will charge them a nice price for my resources and time then. I hate the kthxbai or kthxbye etc. I don't think it's to much to ask to typ all of it to the person who just helped you with time and resources.

The day that the berserkers went live, someone came to my shop and gave me 5 schematics and 5 stabilizers to make 5 rifles for him, when I found out that the schematics had five uses, I told him and he didn't really care just wanted his five rifles. I don't think most really care about stuff like that but you are better off to be upfront about it because the one that does care will cause alot of problems once they find out.

It takes a long time to build a good reputation, and only a moment to destroy it.

This isn't the same thing, but it's along the same lines:

What if someone offered a scythe schematic on your vendor for say 10k, what would you do?

Most people know what these things are worth. If one of my customers offered it to my vendor, I would assume they knew full well what they were doing.

With each schem I have a different rule.

If the schem is one time use. I will charge for the resources times 2 for the personal time. Sometimes more if they want me to dump one of my loots in.

If the schem is multiple use and they only have the loot for one. I keep the extra schematic uses. The only exception being the dxr rifle and you can get the schematic over and over anyway, and the same goes for the FWG5 or mod republic aswell. I will take the schem but I have to charge you regular price. Seeing as the schematic is near worthless.

If the player brings a schematic and tells me they want all the uses for themselves. I usually counter offer I will make both, and I will slice both, and you can choose the one you want from the two. If they will not do that then I will not make them. I refuse to be used like a prostitute. I have to look out for all my regulars, and they count on me allowing them a shot at some high end stuff.

P.S. I am not going to overcharge them, but I will generally try to give it to one who isnt just going to resell it. When I say this I mean if I make a scythe I will give it to one of them for fourty K I am looking for the smiles not to be a millionaire.

I've heard that alot of people consider it an even swap to make a single blade for the cost of the second charge on the schematic. Then they make another one and sell it in auction.

I let them know what I need as a minimum and what is needed to max out the number. Then I charge them on a per blade basis. Normally 150k per blade unless I have to supply the geonsian components. Then the price goes up depending on what the want in it. I've actually had a guy that wanted them so bad that he took it with no paste and white cubes.

as a weaponsmith I make everyone the same deal. bring me loot like schematics you will get one weapon in exchange for the schema regardless of how many uses and its value. Bring me a bag of loot I will make you what you want I keep the rest. Same normally goes for like krayt, and acklay. Say you bring me 10 acklay with same serial. Regardless of stats say you want 2 Phs, and a stun baton...I have realized the masses have no clue about what it takes to make these things. I tell him fine that is three acklay. I get the other 7 as payment. normally they are cool with that. sometime I haveto negotiate a little. but the more repeat customer you are...the better your deal...ofcourse all my repeats really give me the better deal cause tehy get the one weapon they want and say keep thre rest...
