Thread: Anyone else here have a post CU crafted item in the +400 dps club
Not capped damage tho. You normally expect the min around 480 and max 1050 on HLRs. Still nice tho.
It is possible to cap SAC, cap damage and get 400dps if you get a bunch of amazings.

Generally those that can afford to buy the damage/SAC capped weapons are masters... usually with tapes to increase over maximum speed skill. In which case, even with buffs and food to improve action regen, a 1.8 or 2.0 speed rifle is just going to eat up their action so fast they'll be gimped in about 20 seconds.
The law of diminishing returns brought with the CU means that super fast weapons aren't really that great, since your 1.8 speed might as well be 180 speed when you have no action left to use it.
These are all beautiful weapons. Grats to all on the good crafting job... but... get them Crit Hit sliced. The 400dps looks great but a 10% crit hit chance is a million times better in combat.

yes you are right but the question was who was able to craft over 400 dps any good smith worth his salt knows dps means nothing
but fro the uninformed with lots of cash they want really high dps and i for one am more then willing to give it to them

Actually dps means alot.. if you know what to do with it

When I posted I was also considering PVP play so will use a PVP comparison
k here is the comparison from you weapon with the DMG pup on it (left everything base... to leave out the modifed factor that depends on tapes temp. etc.)

Lets assume that you can fire A critical / I head back to back non stop without sac worry (you will not be able to but just to give you benifit of the doubt)
Now for pvp against a good player you will not hit at max dmg and there is a .7x penelty so for both weapons we will say we hit at dead middle (which is what it usually is)
704+1364 / 2 = 1034 base dmg for yours 2.69 spd
496 + 1150/2 (+40 elem) = 863 base dmg mine 1.25 spd
How fast you can fire you next shot is this special speed x your speed
Yours firing a critical - I head ..back to back non-stop
A critical 1.9 dmg 1.7 speed
1965 dmg 4.573 spd or 430 game play dps for this shot
I head 1.8 dmg 1.6 speed
1861 dmg 4.3 spd or 433 game play dps for this shot
so your average dps if you could just fire these non-stop is 431.5 dps
Mine firing ranged / placed
ranged 1 dmg 1 sped
863 dmg 1.25 spd or 690 game play dps for this shot
placed 1.1 dmg 1.3 spd
949 dmg 1.625 spd or 584 game play dps for this shot
so my average dps if I just fire ranged placed is 637 dps ( 200 higher)
Now of course you speed will get modified... and you will fire much faster then every 4.53 seconds... looking at you pic (if this weapon is in your hands and you had your tapes on and stuff) your modified is 1.63 so now we will use that.
Now to make this fair 2.69 to 1.63 is minus 39.5 % for your tapes and temp ( mine is 41.5 but will use 39.5 on my weapon to be exactly fair)

how it goes is my base speed 1.91 - 39.5% (modified) = 1.16 -34.22 speed pup = .76 speed

Now the speed cap is one so the fastest I can fire is one... I have also read the bugged 1.3 thing... this is not trueI run exactly what I am posted and fire every second with out error (the 1.3 thing is likely reported by someone that has this happen due to lag issues)

placed 1.1 dmg 1.3 spd
949 dmg (.988)1 spd or949 game play dps for this shot
so my average dps if I just fire ranged placed is906 dps still quite a bit higher
I am in no way trying to insult your weapon or choices in any manner.... I am just doing a fair comparision... one in whichI gave you the benifit of doubt and saying you can fire A critical I head back to back and non stop at 82 sac (and i find this unlikely)
As for A sniper the speed before you can fire you next shot is 1.7... however the warm up timer (or what ever you call the yellow bar while you are waiting is more then 3 seconds... )
So lets just say 3
A sniper is 3.4 dmg and 1.7 speed so modifed you are
3516 dmg at 2.77 + 3 or 5.77 this gives this shot (with you modded speed) a dps of 609 which is less the your I head and A critical. (even if the warmm up time was 2 seconds your game play dps is 737 lower then any of mine ... and even at 1 second it is 933 which is higher then mine however if you combine that with I head (the better game play dps) you get 822 game play dps for you shots... still lower then mine and this is even pretending that you fire you adv. sniper 1 second after you push... and I know the yellow timer is not that fast)
Now sniper is very nice for that opening BANG but after that the timer on it realy makes you damage not so much when you conisder how long it takes to fire it and then how long before you can fire you next shot..

Maybe on your server you can get that high but not on Valcyn. On Valcyn, we only get 28%/28%/28% so we can't hit that high. It doesn't matter how many amazings we get, it's impossible to cap. 97% experimentation is the furthest it will allow.
