Just a word for all you WS out there:

1. I love you

2. You have all my money.

Ok, that was more than "a" word. Also, I guess you dont actually have all my money anymore, since I took up WSing with an alt....that being said, though:

10 out of 10 Master Commandos say - "Grenades SUCK!" Dont waste your time, unless you are cranking out crates of C12s for marksmen that need Combat Xp or C22s for Nov. Commandos that need Combat Xp. Best thing about proton grenades, et. al., is blowing yourself up the first time you try to use one.

Charb -
Doesn't the advanced weapon scope slow the weapon down? Others were saying speed is key. Maybe both advanced weapon scopes and advanced projectile feed mechanims would be the way to go, then.

The logical way to make RL's easier to create, would be to replace protongrenades with heavy warheads... (the Heavy warheads would have a use as well)

Other the that... are these not suppose to be the Heavy weapon for Novice commandoes, befor they move on to Heavy particle beams and that stuff.

Scopes have no effect on speed; only wound chance, accuracy, and HAMs.

I have been searching all over Radiant for a Rocket Launcher and can never seem to find any. So if any of you Weaponsmiths are on Radiant making these, PLEASE send me a msg and I will gladly pay for a couple of them. My in-game name is Idir.

I hope they never replace the proton grenades in rocketers, but I do wish they would make them count towards the damage output of the gun.

Rocketers are the summit of the WS mountain and hope it will always be so. I hate it when players scream "make it easier, make it easier". Everytime the devs listen and act on complaints like that something bad always happens. Holocrons, AT-ST, Jedi survival... the list goes on.

Besides heavy warheads are meant for something else.

I completely disagree, the only item you want made advanced is the weapon scope, mine are like +42 to ideal, that helps out quite a bit the end product had very nice acc mods for ideal/max in the end, since the max range mod is automatically high

Using advanced components in a Rocket launcher is the difference between a rocket launcher that does 3400damage and 3800 damage.

Is the 300 damage difference worth it to commandos?

My alt character is a commando, I find it worth it to use RL's with all advanced components. I dont make many rocket launchers because they are such a pain in the butt to make, but I do makt them once a month or so. I need to make a fun now because I have an order for 21 RL's and like some other said, the balance wont last1-2 days on my vendor if I announce it.

I sell mine for 35k each as a commando I feel for them I hate limited use weapons. They should have made these so you buy a base weapon then you load it with ammo (with uses like a power up) so you have a base weapon that can hold 10 charges, the base weapon has a hefty resource charge, but you can toss rockets in the RL, and sell them in bulk, before I made RL"s thats how I thought it worked, but apparently not.

they need to do something with the RL to make it more feasable for everyone, the smiths and the commandos.

As a WS I find rocket launchers are a complete pain in the rear-end to make, they foul up my factory lines as no weapon save for bowcasters does and are almost impossible to stock along with major weapon lines. I also think that's exactly as it should be, even if it means that I'm going to only stock them once in a blue moon.

Why? A few reasons for it actually but the strongest one is the benefit of specialization and the price of being a generalist.I think that weaponsmithing of all of the professions is the one that is impossible for one player to be the source of everything, and believe me I think I've come closer than almost anyone to having literally every craftable weapon in stock. I stock all the standard ranged and Melee, I stock all the Special Heavy Weapons (FT, HAR, LLC), and I also stock a fair smattering of the commando consumable weapons and grenades, but I don't stock RLs as a rule.

It takes a lot of factory time, and a lot of resource, and a lot of effort to create these weapons and noone is as able to do that as well as someone who specializes in munitions. I'm actually making a small group mainly for my commando alt and a commando friend to eventually play around with, and that small run of 100 is convincing me I proly won't get into making these full time.

Some things should be hard to make, keeping RLs stocked so that people have a reasonable expectation of finding them in stock should be a mark of honor in the profession, just as keeping a store stocked with multiple lines of weapons, etc etc should be.

Somethings are supposed to be tough, it's the tough that makes them great.

Very informative post.

I am on Radiant looking to buy the best weapons for commando.I am trying to experiment to see how effective a commando can be.I am looking for every weapon (excluding grenades) that a commando can use, at the best quality. If any of you can fulfill an order like this please send me an email! I can't find anyone willing to take an order like this, so i will pay well.

Thanks,

Beemer

I used to keep my vendors stocked with Heavy Weapons but have started to move towards only doing them on special request just because of the time / resource requirements.

The best part about Rocket Launchers:

Proton Grenades, which are a component for the Rocket Launchers, do more damage than the Rocket Launchers.
