I'm just getting back into weaponcrafting from a long break, and I'm thinking with going with 'regular' non-advanced barrels for the newbie-level rifles and carbines. Like dlt20s and dh17s. Beginners at the grind need the speed boost and percentage-wise on those weapons i think it actually produces more dps when the shooter doesn't have much speed-mods due to skills.

On my sniper rifles (laser), I usually go Advanced, on Flamers I use regular, Depending on my mood I'll use either in a carbine.Newbie stuff I just use regulars also. Usually if it is a custom build I give the customer the stats on both barrels and they usually pick the advanced.
