Thread: Do you use Adv. Blaster Rifle Barrels or Normal ones?

Either one has their advantages i assume but does anyone prefer one over the other? Like if you are making a T21 which would you use?

As a master smith, I'm making weapons for experienced players, not newbs. I feel that the extra .1 second speed is not noticeable once speed mods are taken into account. So for my target market I use the advanced barrels to get a few more points of damage.

Me too, although I will use regular Scopes from time to time... especially on high HAM weapons.

Advanced. Minor bump in damage and better accuracy with advanced barrels.

I can't help but use still use regular rifle barrels most of the time,...I do agree that that the speed difference isn't that big a deal...but neither is the damage....
I use the advanced pistol barrels though, and the advanced projectile barrels.

I use zero HAM standard scopes on everything I make. I only use advanced scopes for special orders with a requirement for high accuracy. My zero HAM scopes are +13 ideal. The lowest I can get my advanced scopes is +3 HAM, +17 ideal, so that's not worth it. I have +19 HAM, +39 ideal top end scopes for those rare occasions.

I use the Advanced scopes as of late....I used to use the the Standard with 0 HAM's, but I don't mind using the advanced as i'm getting them at +6 HAM cost right now. I could use some better Corellian Decidious too...(havn't been paying much attention like I used to :smileysad

I used normal barrels for a long time, then switched to advanced after all the PVPers switched to defense stack templates. I haven't really played for the past several months, so I never switched back to normal after defense stacking was nerfed.

I made both types of barrels and the increase in damage and the substantial increas in accuracy outwiegh the minor speed boost.

mostly adv. rifle barrels, only thing offhand I can think of that I use normals in is flamethrowers.
