I mean, damn, they could've at least made an attempt at covering up the original designs. What am I talking about, you ask? Take a look:

The new LD-1 sniper rifle, suspiciously similiar to a certain rifle made famous (to gamers, at least) by Counter-Strike.
The Proton Carbine, pretty much a straight ripoff of the HK G36, right down to the the shape of the stock.
The Proton Rifle is, again, virtually a copy of the HK OICW (minus the carbine).

Seems like either a.) sci-fi firearms aren't the art team's forte (e.g., the joke of a weapon known as the Massassi ink rifle, or the ridiculously unbalanced looking new heavy weapons the commandos get) or b.) this is another case of them not being given enough time to get the job done right.

Aww man....now the riflemen will be camping the roof of the mansion with the AWP, and the carbineers will be hiding behind the door into the garage (camping hostages) with the proton carbine...

I wonder if the planet cs_mansion will be added along with ROTW and the CU...

I'm a forum poster that used to craft weapons, but now has nothing to craft...so I post about it. Give me a role to play and I'll be a player that posts again.
