Thread: Casual gamer's Guide to Weaponsmith (V3.0)
Arrrgg!!!! Im trying to figure out which number of schematic the weapon upgrade kit is!!
Please SOMEONE HELP, Before I go INSANE and smash something! lol
Currently I have artisan 4/4/4/4 (BUT NOT MASTER), and Novice Wep Smith.
If someone can point out what number the schematic is It would be much appreicated!!!!
Ah ok I finally got it working (it was 60 *slaps forehead*)
Great macro. Takes a little bit of tweeking. but once set up works nicely
Well if your NOT at a station and you have artisan 4/4/4/4 Its 60 (thats without Master though)
Btw- this macro has gotten me about 15k wep XP in the last 20 minutes or so.
I guess im doing this partially to bump it....but I was just wondering if this still works, and if so I was wondering why i just keep getting the message "the crafting session has been ended"
It doesnt even enter the crafting screen...
if anyone could help that would be super.
cheers

with enough resources that is!
I had the same problem (I think) as tenhagen and tajizt ...
my problem was in the macro syntax ... /ui action toolbarSlotXX
I had/ui action toolbarSlot6 this must be .../ui action toolbarSlot06
hope it helps
I just wanted to verify that, yes, this macro DOES work, and no, macros do NOT suck.
I'll offer three observations:
1.) The macro works for basically any item. Just alter the amount of time you need to drop resources into their respective hoppers and you can basically adapt this to any crafted device. I'm currently using it on WUKs to get from novice weaponsmith to intermediate firearms. (practice gives 63 XP on WUKs, by the way)
2.) Make sure that, when you type in the stuff about toolbarslots you write it as "toolbarSlotXX". The "s" in slot MUST be capitalized or else nothing happens and your macro gets screwed up.
3.) I did notice that you actually have to close the crafting tool window for each tool used. The sequence works as follows: (1) start the macro (which selects the tool and schematic), (2) drop your resources in, (3) watch the picture of the crafted item in the crafting window -- when the item disappears, close the tool out, and proceed to the next tool.
No idea if there's a workaround for this last step, but it's only a minor annoyance. It's just a single mouseclick anyway, so no biggie.
I've found that, with this macro and a sufficient supply of resources, you can grind out XP fairly quickly (approximately60XP a minute, though that'll depend on your computer and how fast you set your macros). Also, remember that WUKs need 10 units of chemical and 20 units of metal per WUK -- so figure1000 chem and 2000 metal to get yourself 6300 WCXP. That means that, in total, if all you do is practice WUKS, you'll need about 5600 chem and about 11200 metal to hit intermediate firearms.
