Logix... what you are doing is saying the very prinicple of crafting and using factories is in POSSIBLE violation...I know it is a bit of a stretch on what you said but in essence its the same thing...
No, I'm not. I'm saying turning a small amount of something into a very big amount of something is in possible violation.
This is different when we're talking about schematics created with limited uses. One has to think, if I was intended to make3000 Enhanced E11 Carbines, why couldn't I loot a schematic with3000 uses instead of only three?
If it was a 3000 use schematic I would fully expect it to be a FINISHED product schematic rather than one that could be tweaked (experimented) on...
3 uses is plenty IMO... except for those rare days when experimentation and assembly are against you... from having spent close to an hour makinga perfect stock schematic i know...

This scenario is more akin to the no-serial Krayt tissue. While the game did not prevent you from making a +30 Krayt Tissue into a +60 Krayt Tissue, it was still considered a violation. You're taking something small and turning it into something bigger when you probably shouldn't be doing so. Simply because the developers did not have the foresight to retroactively remove these no-serial tissues does not mean they wanted you to be able to do this. And, simply because the developers left the ability to make a schematic out of a looted schematic does not mean it was intended, either.
So, I wouldn't be so quick to get your hopes up, as we could be expecting a nerf thrown at these schematics any time.
I fully understand about the no serial tissue/scale/segment thing... THAT was a mistake on their part in the coding... some goofball there deleted a line of code on accident...
Nerf these guns at will... The formIsee that taking will be to REQUIRE them to use the themepark looted scopes/stocks/barrels... That will limit the number of these that the weaponsmiths can make... Also what that will do is make sure that they have added another piece of trash loot to the game as i know most weaponsmiths will NOT choose to spend the time and effort to make these for for the general public... They would prefer to use those barrels/stocks/scopes for the uber Krayt gun... unless those were invalidated so that they only would work with the new looted schematics... once again adding something that is more ornamentation than a functional weapon... The genosian weapons coming are a Prime example of this... They will be rare enough to command extreme prices... and once again perpetuate the inflated economy...
The only thing a nerf will do is free up more of my time... Not to mention closing of one of my accounts or freeing up lots on a friend's account... i won't need3 factories pumping day and night on parts for these weapons but can make do with a lesser ammount as well as use my standard fare of parts instead of runs created specifically for these

More valid? Resource wait periods which everyone has to endure is hardly more vaild than basically changing the mechanic of smithing from the way it has operated since launch. Obviously you don't get my point...we are crafters, not assemblers. If you can't see what kind of problem all this loot dropped schematic and components are going to be not just now, but on down the road as more items come into the game then you need to take the blinders off. Resources are fair...wait long enough something better will come along. The loot drops seperates things right down the middle...either you have the connections to farm, or the cash to buy, or you are SOL. Think new smiths have it hard waiting to get new resoruces? How hard are they gonna have it when every popular item has to be farmed or bought beforethey can craft it?

I do not want to farm spawns, nor do I want to pay extremely high prices to people who do farm spawns to keep my vendors stocked.
Then simply put DONT.......the only thing that creats "extremely" high prices, is people paying that much creating an economy based on said prices,,,,,,,, if you dont pay,,,,,,, they cant sell........ if you want to change the argument that you cant compete with those smiths who WILL buy at over-prices upping the market prices ......
then simply put.......welcome to capitalism
We have our goods, we can craft them, we can sell them.......nuff said
(a more vaild debate question would be about the poor resource shifts going months without a sign of certain resources let alone crap ones.... this puts new smiths in a timesink to "sit around and wait" just to get on par.)
Quit- Trang,
Maybe it is you who needs the reading comprehension lesson. Yes I fully understood your post. And it is a rehash of the post you have made in other threads. I am sorry that you have resource envy. You act like the first smiths had it easy. We dealt with NO RESOURCES...not crappy, not subpar....NONE. We had to use personal harvs...not 13 BER heavies. So give me a break with the fiddle music for resources...it gets old. I busted my ass from the get go to be a master WS...so did a lot of other smiths across different servers. Sorry if someone on your server has better resources than you and has better stats. It happens. Try not to be so bitter. That is a smithing mechanic that has been in the game since day one...we have constantly competed with each other for better resources...we had to wait months for the resources to spawn...but guess what ? They did.
I realize you just want to argue for the sake of it, there is no real connection between harvesting resources (which any new character with minimum investment can do) and farming static spawn quests and dungeons for new weapon loot drops. It'sa totally differnt game mechanic one that has not existed until recently. This goes above and beyond krayt tissues and the like (whcih should have never been put into game anyway).
Maybe some smiths would not be so hung up on resources if they hadn't power macroed thier way to master to begin with. Just because you get the master title handed to you does not mean you deserve to be called one. Yes, you are correct in one thing though...YOU are an assembler.
