Thread: a quick FYI on the new republic blaster

Can I buy some Plumbum Iron from you? Thnx
The only Plumbum I've got is the 1000 OQ plumbum, and I'm not selling it.
Anyways, what I've heard from countless customers on my server is: An extra 3-4 damage , 0.1 speed doesn't matter if it costs a buttload more, or if they think the weaponsmith is a **edit**.
I sell my weapons through excellent customer service
Ahh, then your customers are misinformed. That's not how it works by the time the weapon is sliced and has a power up.
Not to pick on you but you've advertised Featherweights at 57-153. Let's just deal with maximum damage. Get a 30% damage slice on yours and slap a 33% max damage powerup on it and you have a Featherweight that hits for a max of 263. Take mine at 166 max damage and do the same to it and you end up with a gun with 287 max damage. The initialdamage CAN matter quite a bit.
As far as weaponsmiths on our server being **edits**, I wouldn't know. I communicate regularly with many of them and they seem like a solid group to me.
Slightly off-topic:
Does the bleed from the Republic Blaster stack with Health Shot?
What can I say but, "go figure!"

Good to know imps can use it too, even if its hard to get a hold of...
Hard to get a hold of?
On Intrepid there are like six million of these things. I've sold 50 of 'em myself, and given about 10 to my guild, and have a few saved up, also.
I also made about 175 Featherweight FWG5s, and have sold about 50 of those, too
And I only charge 20,000 cr a pop
Yes my friend, HARD TO GET A HOLD OF.
As an Imperial smith and member of one of the more despised Imp guilds on our server, rebels aren't exactly queuing up at my vendor to offer the schematic.Efforts to buy the schematic so far have proved fruitless.
I sure as hell amn't gonna go to a rebel smith and buy one of these for 30K (?
) when I cam make them myself by the crate for less than that.
Personally I don't care if every combatant on your server has20 of these things in their backpack: where I come from is a different galaxy with different rules and different people.
On a closing note: I refuse to sell the Emperors E11 carbine to rebels (even though I know they will no doubt get them some place else) and if I were rebel I'd be making d4mn sure I did the same with the mod. RB. A little loyalty to my side, instead of wanton profiteering, is my stance as a factioned weaponsmith...

Heh, faction could mean nothing to me.
I only went Imperial 'cause they can buy ST armor.
Otherwise, I'm in a mostly rebel guild (maybe 3 imps in it, compared to a bajillion rebs).
Werrtzer,
You touch on one of my favorite pet peeves. Smiths who sell to the opposing faction and clients who purchase from the opposing faction. It's why I'm a neutral smith. I can freely sell weapons and armor to whomever I choose. Were I factioned, I feel (from a RP perspective) that my duty would be to supply only my faction.
From a buyers perspective, it is silly to line the pockets of those your are at war with.

I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep on the new Featherweight FWG5's. They are the crap gun of the new ones. With stats worse than the regular FWG5's I see little use in even making them.
Yup.
