Mastering each of these professions takes a serious degree of dedication to master. Do not get me wrong it can be immensely rewarding, but to get there you gots to pay the dues. You got to suffer, and stress and let them consume you.
If your not getting off the pc, and finding yourself thinking about resources. Calculateing harvester yeilds. Haveing nightmares about missing a spawn of doonium. If you arent getting guilt ridden over ignoreing a great polonium spawn in order to mine abph resources your never going to make a true uber.

F'nA right. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Only 15 times? I'm guessing you're only doing two branches.
I only want three branches of CM (don't care about weapon repair), so that means:
50k + 3*(175+250+350+450)k = 3,725k FS crafting xp = 18,625k WS crafting xp
WS itself requires 896k of WS crafting xp
That works out to mastering WS nearly 21 times. Or 25,341 HWM's.
I'm counting crafts
Oh and theres bags for a reason

3 months ago, I took over a character from someone who left our guild. The Character was a MWS. It has taken me 3 months alone to learn how to make weapons properly. Learning the various resources and what part of the resorce was important was a whole other ballgame. However, I have enjoyed it as it has given me a new respect for all craft professions as well as given the game a new aspect for me!
Im glad I went this route and I wish you the best of luck and Success

Ha! That's great. I store all my resources in backpacks to make organisation easier, but you've clearly spent some time making it look nice. I like it.

Yeah, 10pt ws with good resources > 12pt ws with crap resources. Grinding to MWS is about 1/10th the grind to be a good ws. Its a long long road
The sad thing is how very few people realize this. It's ok, it's fun to make fun of 12 pointers who make crappy weapons compared to my 10 point ass

Hey now, I only made around 100 weapons before I made my first hack/scythes (well... not counting that 300 or so VKs I factory'd)
It turned out alright (2.6 194-335 25% +4 48/73/41 for my first scythe, base cube+paste) XD And I'm only 10 point hehe

Wow where do I start. I am only a 10 PT Weaponsmith, but even so I am one of the RARE 10 PT guys here with UBER UBER UBER everything resources. I even have perfect polysteel copper that is 1000 conductivity and 990 OQ ( yes you may all drool now ) Most 12 PT guys cannot beat the damage my weapons do on my server, however they may have a little more condition than mine, why? they have 2 extra points to put into condition. I am not worried however because my melee weapons are all 99% damage when I am done experimenting on them, and I am force sensitive grinding for my 12PT through force sensitivity because I think spending 1 mill for +1 tapes is silly ( I might rethink that and just become a 14PT weaponsmith soon though, which is almost unheard of ).
I started being a Weaponsmith a year ago knowing it was going to be hard to find my resources and it took me 5-6 months to get Superb quality stats for all teh resources I needed for all of my weapons. Now luckily for me I havent had to harvest anything in 5 months, I am able to just go buy a stack of this or that whenever I need it.
Your best bet for tracking down decent resources is to expect to spend all the credits you earn in your first 3-4 months on going out and buying even better resources from resource vendors in addition to harvesting the latest and greatest spawns for your server which you can find what is spawned and where it is on swgcraft.com
Like someone said before, Weaponsmith is not to be taken lightly, it is the most crafting intense profession in this game IMHO because of all the different spcific resource types you need... Yeah you may have some steel, but do you have durraloy steel, eudesa steel, etc etc you all know where I could go with just the different types of steel required let alone Aluminum, Ore, Copper, Gemstone, Wood, Polymer, and Gasses.
Go Here for my comic skit on Weaponsmithing:

This is probably the best illustration that I can offer you.
