Thread: Something is not right since the new buffs...

I think they fiddled with the crafting equations. Amazings are harder to get now. I spent almost two hours to get 6 good schematics. Bespin Port + research city + buff + 120 experimentation and amazings are fairly uncommon now. It sucks. The old buffs seem to work better for experimentation success.

Was making enhanced fwg5's this morning, all fine till i got a moderate success and then pistol dropped to 777 dmg from 921.

I think it has gotten a lot more random with the amazings. before the buffs I usually got abbout 4-5 out of 12 amazings now I can make a whole weapon without anything but great successes then the next weapon gives me all amazings or close to that. Some sessions I just dontseem to be able to hit any and then the next session I get a lot.

Maybe, but they seem to clump together more than (at least as I've noticed) before...that could be good regarding some guns

I have gotten moderates and critical failures with the buffs in research city. I also noticed a lot more moderates post pub22. I think research may be borked but since my storage vendor is there i cant move it without great effort. Maybee i will have the mayour change to manufacture or improved market for a cycle to see if it helps.

I have noticed I get more moderates and crit failures with entertainer buffs, has been this way since they introduced the original one. I also get more amazings. I havent tried the new buffs that much though. Before the change I had a few customs to make, got the entertainer buff and started out, in the first 10 exp attempts I had 4 moderates so I went afk to wait out the buff, came back later and crafted with no buff, got all greats or amazings.

Ok guys I have read every post in this thread and I see a trend with the people claiming failures....

Research Center

I craft at my shop which is not a research center, and I have gotten up to 3 amazings in a row with no bespin port. I still use bespin on at least 2 points depending on the gun, the dmg line (usually 6-8pts) and the SAC line (4-5pts). I have pretty often gotten 5 amazings on SAC to cap a pistol at 65. Before that was very rare.

I think it is possible that the research center and the buff are somehow screwing the rolls up. If you are having problems try going outside the center and see if they continue.

Possible. My results have been fine and I don't craft in a research centre.


On that point, research centre and FS crafting bonuses never used to stack, does anyone know if this is still the case?

i just want to point out that the WS inspiration buff gives a 10% experimentation roll bonus which isthe same as the previous general inspiration buff...no problem there....i crafted quite afew weps and components over the last day or so on my ws alt (with the usual food and city specs as well as 12pt) and i havent seen any difference with regard to exp rolls


but i wanted to point out in this forum (im sure it mentioned in artisan forums although i havent checked yet) that the new buffs for artisan actually DECREASED the experimentation roll bonus...it is now 5%, down from the previous 10% given by the general inspiration buff...


WS shouldnt really see a difference in exp rolls (although this is SOE and anything goes) but for artisan items like powerups....i expected to and did.

i'm working on fs right now no skills yet. But i had to do 20 builds to get 2 amazings on a scatter. +25/+25/bespin/research/inspiration buff


And even worse i got my first moderate on a custom weapon in 6 months..... thank god it wasn't some expensive cells hehe just some 120 dmg tissue.
