The enhancements dropped by nyms generally have only one stat. Either they are +20 max damage, +5 wounds, or -.2 speed. These are the ones I know about anyway. If those had 25min 30max and -.5 speed, those don't sounds like enhancements at all. They sounds like actual vibro motors. They would replace his crafted motor instead of enhancing it. So, that means he used your motor instead of one of his motors. So, if that is the case, you got a couple of pretty good looted motors (most are 5min 5max -.2 speed) but they were just a little weaker than a weaponsmith could have crafted. I could be wrong but that is what it sounds like to me. It doesn't sounds like the weaponsmith conned you but the person that sold you the motors may have.

What a FOOL I am

The items I supplied are indeed LW motors. I had assumed in my ignorance that those WERE what was dropped by Nyms men as they have such better stats than the ordinary vibro blade units I see for sale on the bazaar all the time.

The motors I gave him did have the following attributes:

AS -0.5

Min dmg +25

Max dmg +30

Desh is gated at 400. You won't find any with UT above 400 and the Platinite is gated at 800 UT.

You will never find Desh or Platinite coppers with 900+ UT. Desh is capped at around 400 and Platinite is capped somewhere below 900. Steel with 900+ SR shouldn't be that hard to find.

You may want to check the bazaar under Melee Weapon Components (do a Galaxy wide search). I occasionally find Nym high power vibro motors that give +20 max damage on there, and for 6,000 credits or less each.

If the WS you're communicating with doesn't already have the best resources for VK, you should probably just try to find one that does. I'd have to chuckle if someone came to me for an enhanced weapon and brought resources with them (and I'd have to cry if they really did bring better stuff than what I already had).

Nym loots are pretty easy - Go to Lok, kill Nymfolk. They're not as easy as meatlumps, but they're not much harder. I slaughter them in the Protectorate then spin around the player cities on Lok for a couple hours killing random spawns.You'll get vibro motors, feed mechs, and energy capacitors. I rarely come back from Lok without a few of each.
