Thread: Have I been conned?
Listen weaponsmithing is not like putting something in the microwave. If you asked for something else to be done to the weapon. The smith would have to sacrafice something in the damage. If you did not do this. The weaponsmith could have fallen pray to a couple failures or worse a crit failure. A weaponsmith has no control over these things. Just like you have no control over the fact that some of your hits fail.
I think your referring to nightsister motors. Nym motors supposedly do not come out that great anymore.

He didn't say. I'm guessing that they are s'posed to be used as an enhancement? I've never done WS'ing so I don't know for sure, but if that IS the case, surely a MWS would know this??
Without knowing the other stats on the weapon (i.e. speed, accuracy, ham) its hard to say... A well crafted ADV VK is around 2.2spd, +11-+20 @ All ranges, and between 30/50/30 and 35/55/35 on the ham costs... There are also 3 Types of Nym Enhancements... Speed, Wound and Damage... any one of those could have been used... One explaination is the person used Regular Vibro Motors with the Nym Damage Enhancement but without knowing the full stats on the weapon its near impossible to infer (also you could have gotten handed some Moderated-VK's - who knows except the weaponsmith)
"They ALL had -0.5 AS, +25 min +30 max dmg"
There are 3 type Nym vibro unit enhancements:
1) High Powered (+20 MaxDam)
2) High Freq (Adds +5 to Wound)
3) Lightweight (takes a tiny bit off speed and adds too much HAM)
Never seen any that do as you described.
On Ahazi VKs made with the High Powered Nym's Enhancement should end up 2.2 speed with 167 MaxDam plus minus. I made up 4 night before last.
