Thread: Gernade prices
What is teh deal with everyone saying this time stuff, it takes no time up...your not hand making stuff. The 1 hour it took to get 10 factories started isnt worth the 8-10 mill you will make off of it? You do a lot swap for 10 factories and have them constantly running making c12's. It costs you 1 mill to make 10k grenades. You make 10-15 mill off of those 10k grenades it took you 4 days to make in the factory. What are you talking about???

OMG u charge 50k for a crate considering how easy they are to make. should be no higher than 20k a crate IMO
LOL
Thanks for adding to the discussion.
Do you have anything to back up your oppinion?
I think I clearly demonstrated that 40k is a fair price and 50k is not out of the ballpark in any stretch of the imagination.
20k would clearly be a waste of the weaponsmith's time.

Really? So what....
So what is they are available for harvest 24/7, while good quality weaponsmith resources are few and far between, you have been a smith for awhile now, you should know that.
I mean:
The Architectsuse 30cpu as the lowestthey would accept becausethey were selling powerups at the time as fast asthey could make them at 30cpu, investing more skill points and collecting more resources should yield a better return.
So, on the basis that a good chunk of the Architects wares are quality-independant, let's knock that Heavy Harv down from a pricey 50cpu, toa reasonable 30cpu.
Hello; where did you get 50CPU from?
And I'm judging by your excuse that the answer is "no, I won't pay 30cpu for a Heavy Harvester".
Aren't double-standards fun!!!!
what excuse, I said they are worth more and I never said anywhere that they weren't worth 800k did I maybe you think they aren't, not my problem. Also the reason why myself and many other are not architects.
If you wouldn't pay it, don't charge it. Otherwise you're not under-rated, you're a rip-off merchant.
Thanks alot; whats up with the personal attack?, not that I had any good or bad impressions of you before; now I'm pretty sure you are a huge jackass whether or not you are having a bad day.
Significantly more than 1k for something that does 800 damage ***5*** times is ripping people off.
Have you read any of my posts? I'm charging 1400 per grenade, 35k for a crate, how is 1400 significantly more than 1k?
And "time spent storing the resources" is a joke. Yes, really it is.
seeing now one of the major issues in the game and on the forums repeated over and over in the core systems forum, and even mentioned in a popular thread on this forum regarding wharehouses. Storage and storage limits is agenuine concern;I fail to see how this is a "joke"
You sir are a joke

The Archs gimped their market long ago. Frankly, no one would pay 30 cpu for a heavy harv, on any server, and it's the Archs fault for underpricing their wares. No reason for us to do the same. Besides, it isn't really about what we'd pay for them. It's about what the customer will pay for them. And if the customer doesn't want to pay your price, there are plenty of other weaponsmiths around.
Right now I'm only charging 25K a crate for C-12s. If they sell too fast, I'll up my price. It's not the quantity of resources so much as the factory time. Sure, I guess I could do a server lot trade and plant a field of factories, but I really don't want to. And that's my problem to deal with.
I say charge what you want for what you make. If someone wants to buy it, they will. If they don't like the price, they can go to one of your competitors or go without. That's the beauty of capitalism.

So....
You're prepared to pay 30cpu on a Heavy Harvester then?
Well that's the architect's problem now isn't it.
Honestly I think that harvestorsshould probably be alot more expensive than they are now, not sure what 30cpu would amount to 300k maybe, the first ones I was buying last year were 250k I think.
If heavyies were appropriately priced, then there would be a market for mediums (other than lot swappers which is BS but also offtopic) and personals harvestors.

Everything in this game is time,
the time it took you to collect those resources 3 months ago.
the time spent storing those resources until they were needed.
the time you spent getting your 12points so you could make a better product.
the time you spent getting weaponsmith in the first place(lol maybe I'm reaching a bit here) being a weaponsmith should be worth something.
Most of the reasources I'm using in my grenades sell for 5-8 cpu raw, I'd like to think that the value I add to these resources is worth something.
kettmalice wrote:
Why are you using resources that sell for 5-8 /unit? You can easily find decent resources for 2-3/unit depending on the server but there is no reason to be using expensive resources. I am making 2.7 870 max c12's using 2-3/unit resources.
