My favorite is "I need the best weapon you can make with High Damage and FAST".... So I'll just tell them No Sorry all my weapons are slow and Low damage and Very Inaccurate.. Get Away from meyou PHUCK.

IMO there are smart noobs and dumb noobs.

Usaly smart noobs are these who had played online games before and know how most things work, they maybe just dont get some final parts that are not in manual and need a bit help whit that. These ppl usaly write in normal way.

Then we have these dumb noobs. Who are probably under 15 ( or closer to 12) who never took time to read thru manual or check Boards. You can usaly spot them right away since most of them use extra MANY CAPS and leet/1337 talk. These ppl dont know **edit** and expect you to learn them everything in few mins.

They also think that since they are new and so freaking cool, you must give them cash and items (since they are to lazzy to run missions).


ok let me ramble a bit more.


Then we have so called guild prostitutes (not sure if w***e will get filtred or not) who thinks that if they join some guild then they must get tons of free stuff.


I could add some more. but now iam going to read A chuckle for the smuggleron smuggler board. its about their dumb customers.

Some of the most annoying I get are the really lazy customers. I had one guy actually send me a tell and ask for guns stats, pricesetc whilst we were both standing in my shop next to my vendors because he couldn't be bothered to look through the vendor to find out himself!


The noobs asking for impossible stats are always amusing as well :-


Noob - Can you make me some VK's with max damage 250


Me - I'm afraid not no, VK's cant be made that good


Noob - I'm willing to pay a lot for them


Me - Well yeah I think a lot of people would for 250 max VK's but like I said they cant be made that good.


Noob - So you cant make them


Me - Well nobody can, VK's just cant be made that good


Noob - Can you let me know when you can make them


Me - yeah sure

Heh. These threads are good kind of WS specific verisons of the Sarlacc thread in the Merchant forum.


Recent things that drive me nuts. Customer comes into my store, talking about how he can get XYZ weapon for free from his guild, but he doesn't want to wait/doesn't want to bother them. He catches me in my store because I'm stocking some grenades so I'm not at my new lab. I'm never one to turn down sales, so I thnk him for coming to my shop and direct him to my Weapons vendor Jasmine, and go back to stocking grenades.


So first he compliments me on my selection... for which I thank him, then he compliments me on my Scatter Pistols, again I thank him. Then he asks me for one for 10K off it's listed price.


The essence of his argument was that since he can get one free from his guildmate, but doesn't want to bother his guildmate because his guildmate's doing something important (unlike me) that he should get the Scatter at a cut rate.


Weirdness abounds.

Yep, I dropped my Master Weaponsmith tag a long time ago for most of the reasons listed in this thread. The only reason I keep WS is for myself and my friends.

I think the fustration stems from too many weaponsmiths trying to play customer service associate to 12 year olds. It's a game, have fun with it....


"Do u mke gud guns?" - No. (don't respond to any further tells)


"Can ui make better xxx? minz (insert insane stat here)?" - No, but I heard Meatlumps are dropping those (laugh when you see him outside coronet shooting meatlumps)


"Can u sell me ur best pistolz?" Nope, sorry, can't do that til SOE fixes the best pistol bug


'U r overpriced!" No, you just have no skills to earn money with. Try survey missions, no weapons needed.


"ur wepons sux" Not if you were advanced enough to use them.


And my personal favorite catch-all response - "Well, feel free to grind to weaponsmith and make your own weapons"

If im feeling a bit bored I just go to Coronet starport and idle there. It takes max 5 minutes before something priceless like "Can you repair my armor?" or "wuts teh best wpn u maek?!1" pops up. I only need my Coke after that because I allready have the smile.


It does however get annoying when you are proud of your MWS title and you get loads and loads of these idiots spamming you constantly when you are busy working on your shop. Its really depressing when a customers calls to you and complains that the weapon he just bought was allready sliced. Oh well that happens sometimes when im sleepy and restocking. Well I meet the guy in my shop and hes standing infront of my "Sliced Weapons" vendor scratching hes head.

God.. If I only could send electric shocks through the GUI to the other player.


Or those you happen to spot me when I try to sneak through busy starport?

Or the impatient ones that reply "Well???", "Are you there?!?!?", "Is it done yet??"fifteen times before you even have time to explain to them that you cant make swoops.



BUT after all that it only takes one person to contact you, thank you for the weapons and tell youto keep up the good work. That is priceless indeed. Makes my day every time
