Wow thanks I never thought to use swgcraft.com like that, that makes me happy

It is true about the VKs, I know a lot of TKs, and already a few who are begging me non stop to make them some In time I say

Oh!!! Are there any advanced components I shouldn't be using?? I'm curious to know if I should be using them all or not.

The reason my list is so small, is that because I want to just keep it simple, at least just to start out with. And I also do not have a lot of time to devote to the game.

I appreciate you comments though, and you're saying I should make DL44 carbines, and not the DH17 carbine, and not the EE3 carbine?

I'm in the exact same situation as you Teoni, mastered last week and since then have A) been stuck for cash and B) been totally overwhelmed by it all.

I'm on Bria too, ignore the sig, my name is Meridian and i'm on most nights (UK time) maybe we could get together and compare stats, swap resource info etc........................maybe even talk about some kind of business partnership???

Anyhow, just drop me a line on either account to say Hi!!

No what I am saying is one the dl44 is a pistol if recollection serves. Is that you should try your hand at the three dh17s. These are among the simplest weapons to make and still have a fair demand. You can get by with any generic metal on the pistol for the final assembly. So all you need is a metal with high conduct oq. Polysteel coppers almost always run plus nine hundred on these.

That being said you can make a dh17 pistol with plus ninety min damage, and have a healthy speed on it. You deal with less competition from other weaponsmiths on it, and it will be one of the few weapons you can make well right off the bat. The dh17 carbines can easily do plus 100 min damage with polysteel and any decent iron.

Respectively you can do a 2.0 speed on the pistol and a 3.0 speed on the carbines. You are also aiming a bit high on some of these weapons. It can take some serious time to get the resources to make scatters dx2s well. LLCs are a bit tricky and demand that you pick a combo that bhs would like. If you do heavy hitters you will need to have uber stock materials. If you want to go fast you really need to have great materials for the final assembly.

Remember the buyers of high end weapons are alot more selective of what they buy. So if you fall short by even a few points there might not be a sale.

Note on the advanced scope components. You absolutely need great material for these otherwise the ham costs will not be worth their addition. However high the quality of the materials is. The ham is between 20 and 25 So if you use junk you might only get a plus 25 to range or 12 to wound. While if you use the fantastic generic materials for the basic scope. You start out with only ten points of ham cost, and can nearly match the wound or range on the advanced.

Best to build basic scopes and keep your eyes out for good advanced resources for the advanced model. Only when the materials for the advanced scope will you see a true value out of it.

Oh, right I meant to say dl44 pistols.. all the carbine talk confused me

I don't really think i'm aiming too high, I don't expect to make the best of the best right away, that list just lists what I want to make. If it takes me a while until I can make some of them, then so be it

I am doing fairly well in regards to resources now, it is a lot of help to know what to expect as "high" for certain resources. I checked the history of resources on Bria on swgcraft.com and it is fairly similar to your list. Thanks!

That is really nice information about the advanced scopes... are any of the other components this touchy?

Oh and so a good dl44 pistol would be a speed of 2.0 and minimum damage of 100?

Any other components a little bit touchy. For the most part not. Always use advanced power handlers. This component is so forgiveing its scarey. Even useing garbage you will have a good result. My first result was 16 31. That was with a mediocre polymer and complete garbage irolunn. Later on get better ones of these. Probabally another six hundred points of key stats. Got two more points on both min and max.

You will notice one of the advanced barrels uses rhodium along with duralloy and ryll. Not sure which one off the top of my head. You will get a 10 10 0r 11 11 off of it. Do not be worried or alarmed. Its better then the basic barely, and nobody can do much better.

Also alot of the resources you listed can double on another weapon or two. Be nice and make a vibrolance or two handed axe. The poor polearm guys are really hurting just finding polearm weapons. If we dont want our roll to be surpassed by uber drops. We should do our best to fill our roll in the comunity. Asfor the vibroblade. That really is not something to work on. Hardly anyone uses them. You may sell what one a month.

hey there Grats to you on entering the Master Weaponsmith crafting trade

You have a lot of great advice above so, i'll keep this short.... pay close attention to the %'s and the amount used of the certain resource in the components and the final assembly of the weapons... example if a gun calls for 10 units of metal and there are other main ingredients like 150units of a named metal like Titanium Alum. the 150 units will out weigh the other resources used so if you have great resources, that out weigh any not so great resources used in creation, you will still end up with a nice weapon... I hope this makes sense... like you said shop around for resources and like others mentioned above use swgcraft.com to help you identify the resources you need to harvest.... personally in game if you type /notepad you can write dwn all sorts of notes that save automatically and then you can also read them out of game by going into your login profile name under swg file folder, and clicking on "notepad" ... i use this so i can chk swgcraft for good resources in comparison to what i have in game with out having to alt tab all the time ....Also harvesting is a bit more work ( finding locations of good concentration %'s) but it is by far cheaper than buying resources at 5cpu and higher for great quality stats you will be using ....although sometimes you can get lucky and find resources cheap cause the important stats for the certain weapon or component you are making does not involve OQ stat, it seems OQ dictates prices a great deal of the time... I am always interested in helping others where I can, so if you want to compare weapon stats or have questions you can x-server e-mail me by typing this in the in game e-mail "To" Corbantis.Ravenus

then just type what you want to say title and the rest normally and hit send i'll return your e-mail /answer asap its hard for me to list what i have stat wise cause there are tons of things... as i'm sure you already know...talk to you soon and best of luck
