Congrats on making master WS, too bad you didn't spend any time learning about the profession on your way up. Okay, now that that's out of the way, here's some more constructive advice:

1) Search out other master WS on your server and ask them (politely and with great respect) if they wouldn't mind your picking their brains for a bit. In particular, try to figure which rare resources are really rare, i.e. they only show up once very few months. That way you'll have a better idea of what to look for and how to prioritize your resource harvesting. Also, you may want to get some advice on crafting techniques to use, though they might not help you out here (they may not want to give away their best trade secrets ).

2) For the really rare resources, when they shift in prepare to harvest them in the 100's of thousands of units. Corbantis hadn't had Diatium for about 4 months, then we get two different types within a week of each other. I harvested 300K of the first type, then 530K of the secondtype because it was significantly better. I figure this should last me in case Diatium doesn't show up again for another four months. Unfortunately I was only able to harvest 81K of Irolunn Reactive Gas, so I'm really hoping this shifts in again within the next couple of months.

3) Also know that there are some resources that are notnecessarily rare, but the current shift might be particularly exceptional for that type of resource. You'll want to get huge quantities of these more common but very exceptional resources because you might never see anything as good again (or at least, not for months).

4) Even after you get most of the resources you'll need, you'll always have to be on the lookout for better stuff. You will eventually have to discard tons of a resource you spent lots of time, effort and money collecting because a few weeks later a better quality version shifts in. Nature of the business (though it should give you plenty of grinding material for professions the little blue box commands you to grind, er...master, I mean).

5) You may want to consider specializing in a particular field of weapon crafting. This will reduceyour resource and time crunch considerably. It could alsoprovide you with a market niche to better compete against established master WS on your server. For example, you could specialize in making melee weapons or munitions (grenades and mines) or heavy weapons. As for me, I will specialize in making pistols.

Well, hope this helps some. Congrats on making Master WS and I hope you have fun with it.
