Reinstate the ability to modify the design of the components like we could a couple of months ago...
Perhaps being able to modify the color would be a nice addition.

Thanks for your ideas and help, everyone. I'm starting to compile all the data I've gotten, so I'll still be checking in on this thread. Everything up to here has been added to my list!

I'd be happy to have the scopes/barrels/stock customization from the days of old, even if you have to be inspiried to do it. It kept the WS handcrafting weaps, instead of flooding the market with impersonal factory runs. But I was a hit with some of the custom weaps i made for people. The old DL-44 Smuggler's Special....ahh the good ol' days. I had a shop set up with every form of scope and barrel on the wall for people to see first hand for custom orders.


I like the emblem idea, and coloring too. Maybe a coloring kit for both weaps and armor.

I'm not a weaponsmith, but it would be cool to enable the smith to lower the SAC a little more by choosing to make the weapon bio-linkable. Kind of like "tailored made". One guy may only have 3 fingers, another is left handed, one has fins, and some guy may be a little short on strength.


Anyone ever see the TV series "The Rifleman"? Not only could he aim, but his rifle was "tailor made" for his style of fighting.

Bio-linkable option is a fantastic idea!! Means you could lower the SAC and make a weapon that isnt tradable! Very very good for business


Ok here is my list chosen from the above, in no particular order:


- Bio-linkable option - If selected reduces SAC by 5-10 points - Requires a Geo component


- Ability to customise components like pre-cu days (barrels, scopes, etc)


- Abiliy to choose color of the bolt - possibly only modifable by adding a colored crystal


I would also like to see any new weapons schematic need more that 2 stats. I make PuPs and find balancing the various attributes are a real challenge. There doesnt seem to be one material fits all so its kind of interesting. BUT only for NEW schematics, dont MESS with the current stuff.

I'm sure that what the devs are looking for is something that will add cosmetic changes. If you could poll every WS, I'm sure the #1 answer would be to exceed the caps. Personally I'd settle for something like this. a buff that gives you a 1 in 100 chance of producing a weapon with a random enhanced stat. So it might add to damage, wound, accuracy, condition or lower speed or SAC by a significant amount - say 20%. It would be given a special name (Featherweight FWG5 of Accuracy) and you wouldn't have the option to make a schematic of it. Because of the random chance of getting even one and the random effects on it, It would naturally keep the numbers low. And of course, I'd like to see these weapons exceed the cap.

100% it ought to be weapon customization. It's totally obsurd that armorsmiths can customize armor, tailors can customize clothes, but we can't customize weapons. I'm tired of hearing that it's too difficult to do. If they can do it for armor and clothes, why not guns?
