yes, too bad, im kinda tired of seing weaponsmiths getting slapped in the face all the time. bad enough there stingy on the resources we need. wish a great spawn of usable irolunn came out.

*bump* this is ridiculous.... I just got done grinding to master, and am trying to make stock... lovely me with little funding... well its great when you cant get a decent schematic out cause you have 3-5 moderates in one attempt with the best equipment (minus the town research bonus... that shouldnt make or break a GD master smith... imo)... I want answers... *shrug*

with stocks it can be different mate, prepare to use lots ov reasources getting the schematic , altho sometimes u get lucky straight away, pop 5 points or 6 straight off then a point a time with ya rest . on a side note i still seem to be getting alot more moderates on weapons than i can ever remember, sadly its coming at a time when im craftingalot of enhanced weapons

Wow....
It's whiney posts like these that almost make me want to stop reading the WS boards.....
There's no 'stealth nerf'. I'm making stuff *fine*. With a crappy crafting tool, and a crappy station. Because the quality on them doesn't matter a damn.
I'm a 10 pt smith with no Bespin, or the cake, and I'm pretty damn satisfied with most of my weapons.
I consistantly make 32/32 stocks (occasionally experiment for accuaracy instead), because I experiment with them the same way I experiment everything.
Get over it, suck it up, and try again tomorrow.

heh theres no whine , and while your making 32/32 stock , everyone else is making 40/40 as theyve enquired how and have talked about problems like this,

I choose not to.
Mucking about with various 'exp 6, then 2, then 2 again' sounds too close to an exploit for my tastes.
Secondly, my stocks are under .3 seconds, so my weapon is slightly faster than the 40/40 stocks.
Thirdly, it's only 8 points of damage. I mean, REALLY......

hehe got yourself a tad confused there poping them two sentaces in the same post
my stocks are .4 its only .1 speed, i mean REALLY....
i wasnt getting into a devbate on weapon stats if i had my way id pop everything into range and sell my weapons but thats another story, just pointing out to u that the thread isnt a whine really, just a few people have had some strange results, was a coincidense to me to find everyone else having the same sort of problem and so i posted on the thread , and while doing so mentioned to the guy above about experimenting on his stocks as he stated he was having specific trouble with them .

umm, to clarify.. I mean stock is in stocking supplies, NOT rifle stocks... heh.... *steps back and thinks yikes* ...

Off-topic...but my stocks are 40-40 and 0.282 speed.
40-40 doesn't necessarily = slower speed. And while it's "only" 8 points of damage...why not try to provide the best you can to your customers?
On-topic, I have been getting quitea few moderate successes, even while using Bespin Port. I still use it anyway, but it can be kinda disappointing when you're doing a custom krayt, acklay, etc. weapon for a customer. I'm not going to say that anything has changed from the past, however...i just chalk it up to bad luck.

Is not only that WS is like that, my Doc chracter is having trouble crafting good bufs. At first i tought it was another nerf put in whille i couldnt play the doc but then my Master Artisan/WS character had the same problems so it may be that all crafting has been "agumented".

My main grief is that people *always* attribute the smallest thing to a 'stealth nerf'.
Ya just hit a curve in the random-number generator.
Other people did so at the same time. It happens.
