Hopefully you guys know this, if not, I will redirect to the artisan forums, but other people here might be interested in the information as well. I've read that pup's work seperately from crafting caps and slicing caps. From what I've seen, that's definately true. My question, though, is... how do damage power-ups work? Say for instance I have a 500-1000 damage pistol. I place a 30% damage pup on it. Technically shouldn't it go to 650-1300? It doesn't. The min damage gets the full +30% damage bonus but the max dam gets less. I'm just wondering how much less.

the 30% is taken from the min damage or at least this seems to be popular belief

You nearly have it.
Say you have a 30% damage powerup, you put it on a weapon with 500-1000 damage the new damage will be 650-1150. The way powerups work now is they take the percentage of the min damage( 30% of 500 = 150) and adds this number to both the min and the max, it just seems to be another way for the devs to make sure we are not doing rediculous amounts of damage with our weapons by having the bonus set by the min and not the max. This also gives people a good reason to want a decent min as well as a high max for their weapons. I have tested this on several different weapons because i wanted to know where my damage was geting lost at and this is what i found, hope it helps
