Sales were up initially after the vendor search. They have now dipped this week (read stopped !). I've decided not to restock until the CU on standard weapons, might put together some base krayt pistols etc just to keep ticking over. Just got my 12 point suit - so want to try it out anyhow.

well sales went up a lot after the vendor search. But for almost 2 weeks now it went down to almost dead. Especially on the high end loot made. I'm not that expensive but now it's actually getting hard to support my shopping habbit hehe

"It's just another sign that many of us have been in our end-game play for quite a while. If it isn't an amazing weapon, most people don't seem to care much anymore"

QFE.

Nades are still selling really well, enhanced weapon sales have slowed but i've removed my basic melee and ranged weapon vendors. I'm using the lull from now until CU to consider how, or indeed if, I want to continue to run my business. I'm tempted to ditch the basic weapon vendors permanently and just concentrate on custom crafting as i'm doing at the moment.

I'm playing my combat toon alot more from now until CU to stock up on as many WS looted components as I can.

So all the cries of the ADK killing us all off were the usual scaremongering then?

For just a slight increase, but i noticed that people starting to buy my marksman weapons i suspect that is due to the vendor search.

I dont think so. If you read the post a lot of people mention that only the highest of highend weapons sell... So the ADK has killed the marked for midlevel enhanced weaponry. At least thats what Im experiencing. I never said the ADK would kill us, but I said, and that is still my honest opinion, that it has hurt the Weaponsmith profession.

Im actually doing pretty well, but Im mostly selling enhanced weapons and loot.

The Vendor search has been good to my wallet

Im having very nice sale numbers, but it still feels like people are holding again waithing for what the CU will bring.

Also Ive noticed that selling Powerhammers is extremely hard atm. Dunno if people are afraid that swordsman wont be any good after CU, but I see hammers that before the CU got close would have sold within days now stay untouched on my vendor.

Nade sale has slowed down, but that aint bothering me as I hated making them anyway

Pup sales have gone up but taht was to be exspected with the ADK

On a last note only really highend weapons move fast on the vendor the rest I feel I have to restock a couple of times to get off

that concludes the daily report from Farstar Danevang City Corellia :b

Hmm, I'd say from your post it hasnt hurt you but then I may be reading your post wrong.

My point is, after the introduction of the ADK there was untold doom and gloom on this forum saying we would all be out of business and no weapons would sell again, what I read time and time again is that people would equipt their ADK on their favourite weapon and never need to buy another weapon again. I didnt believe it at the time and didnt notice it in my sales. With the introduction of the vendor search sales improved for me and I wondered how things were looking for other smiths, this thread answered pretty much what I was expecting.

It's good to see.

people with an adk used on a weapon, dont need any replacements for that particular model thats all - however i myself i made a uber laser carb - before i use to switch between dmg types to be more effective - the uber carb is so uber its effective and more efficient no matter the target's resists are.

i personally feel the expectation of the revamp and its changes are putting people off spending there money now, every1 is waiting until the revamp kicks in, no t all peopleare relising it could be months until the curb is implemented fully

My artisan character just got novice weaponsmith last week, been testing CU mainly since then. Im pretty broke atm, so my harvestors are breaking down, but I have managed to sell several things on the bazaar. Nothing in the scale you guys sell things I know, but it's nice to see that little e-mail saying someone bought something I made. I'll get there.

BTW: I thought I did pretty good when I made a CDEF rifle that was 27-54 dmg and 4.5 spd. After 9 experimentation points, I hope that is good.

Anybody have any advice for a "n00b" WS?

Interesting what you choose not to include in the quote :b

I still think ADK has hurt sales of nonenhanced weapons and sales of midlevel enhanced weapons. Only the best of the best sells and that wasnt what I experienced pre-adk. Its hard to really test my claim as far as ranged weapons goas krayt tissues started being very common around the same time, but I see the same tendency in the melee department so id say theres some truth to what I say.

The game is changing and Im changing with it. I just liked it better as it was before. And I stronglyhope that they'll soon have to make some kind of notion that they dont regard Crafters/Entertainers as b-proffesions compared to combat. As that is whereI feel the game has been heading with a lot of the changed made lately.

But thats beside this discussion.

I thought it was irrelevant, as you said yourself, you feel it's due to the change in the profession itself not the arrival of ADK's. In fact, the only time ADK's have been mentioned in this thread is your reference to increased PuP sales.

Sorry if it loks like Im picking you out, I didnt mean that, I was mearly highlighting the fact that ADK's while having an effect in the way the game is now has in no way been the end of our profession as the doomsayers were pronouncing in this very forum upon their release.

I think with the Vendor search feature (even in it's flawed state) and the upcoming CU we still look a very strong profession.
