There is a 10 million buyout. My question to you, is the tissue worth that much? I have the credits, but don't know if I should invest them here. Epidemic (sp?) has mentioned that you could craft a T-21 with 480 max damage, unsliced with these. Thoughts?

Oh and thanks for your opinions!

If you think about it that would be roughly a 20/117/-1.38 power handler for 1mil each. Which when you think of it that way doesn't really seem like that bad of a deal considering you could make some killer geo or de-10 pistols and make your money + back on them. Just so you have an idea on shadowfire I paid 18mil for 16 +102 -1.3 tissues. de-10 schem and barrell for 1.5mil - sold gun for 8mil. another de-10 set for 4mil sold gun for 12mil sold 6 of the powerhandlers for 10mil so I well made my cash back from them and I still have two de-10s with thoose tissues to sell.

Stats on one of the de-10's un puped and unsliced
DE-10 Pistol
Condition: 991/991
AP: Light
AS: 2.9
Damage
Type: Energy
Min: 138
Max: 364
Wound: 31.5%
Range Modifiers
Point Blank: -2 @ 0m
Ideal: +16 @ 20m
Max: -80 @ 64m
Special Attack Cost
Health: 31
Action: 61
Mind: 31

It sounds like you may not be familiar with crafting and I would like to let you know a little about what the risks are in balancing advantages of such a purchase.

The process through which your tissue will pass isfirst, 10 identical power handlers in a crate must be made. To do this a schematic is made that consumes one tissue HOWEVER there is a chance that the craft process could fail (crtitcal failure) or throw a FAR less than desireable outcome (such asmoderate success). At that point, if I were the poor WS doing it, I would stop, give you back your remaining tissue in the hopes you could make something else with it....but T21 you will not have. If the power handler craft was successful then the schematic can be run in a factory with no further risk.

With this crate of identical Krayt power handlers, the T21 may now be crafted, dropping the power handlers in (crated) during this process. This craft also can result in a critical failure or less than desireable outcome producing a rather underwelming weapon.

If you decide to persue this there are a few things you can due to "minimize" (but not eliminate) your risk. First, select a Weaponsmith that crafts in a "Research Center" as he/she will get a crafting bonus helping to reduce (not eliminate) the number of critical failures and increase the number of amazing results (best craft result possible) Next be sure your smith has Bespin Port and Pyollian Cake food to use for EACH craft attempted. If not you may want to buy him/her some. Lastly, the great 10,11, or 12 point debate...find a 12 point smith. If a moderate result does occur the extra expirament points over 10 pts (Master Weaponsmith=10 points) will help to pull it out to a decent outcome or add to ...say...the condition if the craft goes well.

The 480 unsliced number on a T21 using such tissue is real however exact numbers will vary due to specific resources used and that vary all over the place. It is a reasonable bet that if you look at the smith's vendor and see he/she has laser rifles unsliced at 425 max damage and republic blasters at 205 max damage, that that guy has been paying attention to resources. After that....its a crap shoot....and BEST of luck with it.
